(NASDAQ: TTWO), is proud to announce that Max Payne 3 is currently in development and scheduled for a winter 2009 release on Xbox360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Developed by Rockstar Vancouver, Max Payne 3 tells the story of a retired police detective embroiled in a world of corruption, turmoil and intense violence. The award-winning Max Payne franchise put players in the role of Max Payne, a hard-boiled New York City detective with a penchant for violence, out to avenge the death of his family. The amazing job they did with GTA IV and Bully for PC, gives me full confidence that the PC version will be a well-optimised masterpiece. ...I swear, if they f*ck this up (whether via sh*tty (and possibly delayed) port and/or the game itself), I'm going to be pretty darn angry at them for a little while and then forget about it. Skeptical is right, 3nix. Edit: Looking back, it's funny how wrong I was. Well, the PC version and gameplay are good, not the story. FullMetal 504 Posted March 23, 2009 Just read it on my homepage. I can't f*cking wait! The Max Payne games belong, in my opinion, in the list of best games ever made! One thing worries me: 'Rockstar Vancouver' is going to develop it... not Remedy. Will they be able to follow the brilliant style of Max Payne made and established by Remedy? The website looks already really cool (logo 'breaks' with the old Max Payne style ... but gives that 'Max Payne feel'... beardy Max looks pretty kick ass). cold fusion 33 1 Posted March 23, 2009 My friends and I were talking about this at school today and now, I see that there actually is going to be a sequel... I mean, f*ck yeah. The first two were absolutely awesome, the best storylines and gameplay I have ever seen. So, hopefully, three should be just as good. I hope Mona has a role in this game. I don't know, having her "come back from the dead" (Yes, I know, she didn't die the first time, be we all thought she did.) again would kind of screw the story up a bit... cold fusion 33 1 Posted March 23, 2009 Well, 1 and 2 on the PC were amazing, I don't even want to think about the console versions, the PC one just rules. Hopefully, it will be the same for 3. Max Payne. and cold fusion 33: If I remember it right, Max Payne 2 has an alternative ending when you finish the game on the 'hardest difficulty' (Dead Man on Arrival? Damn, it's been too long!). In this ending you can actually see that Mona survives and Max lives on happy ever after. I'm not fully sure though... I really need to play those games again! No she isn't. thing again, that would seem stupid and repetitive. Im sure the guys there will craft another masterpiece.
