Her publicist Max Clifford said she passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Upshire, Essex on Mother's Day. Her mother Jackiey Budden said: "My beautiful daughter is at peace." Max Clifford told Sky News that Jade had died as she had lived - in the public eye. He added that Jade wanted her funeral to be a "celebration" of her life. The day after the two soldiers got shot in Northern Ireland, the sun used a 80mm x 50mm box on the front page to cover it. The entire rest of the page had a picture of Jade saying "Jade knows shes dying" (or something akin to it) and I thought: Here we have a major incident involving the death of two people which could have triggered a reform back to The Troubles, and what does the paper do? On the bright side, she's made a ton of money (probably £1m+ in recent days, £700k from the wedding alone) for her sons, so she's done as she set out to do. But she has received, as expected, disproportionate media coverage during her illness. I'd laugh in her face, cancer or no cancer! Cancer is a horrible disease, I've lost one half of my family to it, but because she was dying of it it was suddenly immoral to hate the woman. What happened to dieing with dignity? Max Clifford is a scumbag and the fact that this woman has gone from a pariah to as some tabloids have called her 'a nationaltreasure' is ridiculous. I love how the media and the public blew the disease of a reality TV whore way out of proportion, making you evil for disliking her. Honestly, the whole thing sickened me. People die of cancer every day. Just because she was on a god awful TV show means she stands out from all the others and should be plastered all over the paper for months? Pity about her children, but just because she had cancer doesn't instantly make her the saint she's been made to be. I have a feeling she'll still be all over the papers for the next few weeks. Truth there, because the footage they will show is that of her alive and will have been captured. I expect exclusive interviews with her and her family and the like, will be quite bizarre for those who've followed her story because all she's issued are written word. I feel bad for her kids though, I think telling her kids she can talk to them when she's dead since she got christened was a good move but I have to question her motives. Did she do it for that, or was it fear? Or did she actually believe (which I find it hard to imagine given the circumstances). I know deathbed conversions based on anything else other than faith are quite frowned upon by the Church, and St. Peter doesn't take too kindly to them either.
