XXLpeanuts Posted April 1, 2009 Share Posted April 1, 2009 All i want fixed is the crashing, over the last couple of days it has just got worse and worse i cant even load the game now, i havnt changed anything myself since the crashes started, it has literaly got worse by itself!!!!!!! Can't they just make a patch that includes ANY joystick, gamepad and especially wheel? Mine's a Thrustmaster Force Feedback GT and would love to cruise in the City, or wherever I want to. A wheelchair, that would be sweet to go on a hill, get in a wheelchair and goooo!. Think of all the jackass remake movies you could make in gta 4. Or even better, off a hi-rise roof in a wheelchair. Oh, and how about a shopping cart to ride in too!. And a spurce moose plane made of wood! And the ability to actually fly in planes like as a passenger. Get these Mtherfking snakes off this mtherfking plane. Ohhh the modding community. That does not exist, yet. ROTFLMAO!!!! That made me larf hard!!! I mean I have the occasional stuck key problem and it's just a keyboard! Ok, it's not a normal keyboard but it works fine every where else - exceptionally well actually. But, occasionally, GTA gets a key press stuck and that's that. Even the OS loses the key. Given that, I appreciate that they might have some other major problems in the "input" category before addressing the lack of steering wheels. I feel your pain though man - it must be hard to play a driving game while the wheel sits there staring at you with angst....."Why?".... Oh, and besides more patches - please.....would it be ridiculous to ask for cruise control?? Yes?!? Well, damn, enough said. {ADDED} It just so happens it is my keyboard. Under SLI, you get shadows from light sources which are not there and the refresh rate of shadows projected by the movement of the player car is slower than refresh rate of other shadows! That's true; I've hurled an object (perhaps a can) towards a civilian, forgetting to first check the surroundings; a cop got alerted, and ended up doing a wild chase with his buddies throughout the City. Race track editor that lets you upload user made tracks to rockstar social club for approval and approved tracks get downloaded by winlive, I only wish. A proper 3rd party anti-cheat app that gets regular updates, I only go online for multiplayer rarely now because of the cheats, I doubt it is too late to fix this mess online and turn it into a successful MP, patches are not going to get rid of the cheating. Don't worry that something you want to say may have been posted already - the most important thing is to show R* that YOU ALSO experience this issue and want it fixed. Our Wish List represents the point of view of the entire community and contrary to what some people think, I experience only a limited number of these issues myself. He can't swim let alone walk up the ramp to get onto land (and yeh I know...try to land the heli on the target spot etc etc etc), can't keep up with us on foot either And also, Petrovic should learn to enter vehicals when they are there right in plain site! Rockstar Toronto, for the following patches, I, dear costumer ( ) would like to see: - Improved game engine. You can optimize the game engine even more. It's notorious the work on previous patches: if I play now with the 1.0.0.0 version, my game lags, has texture issues and the FPS go up and down like a roller coaster. After patch 1.0.3.0 I don't have missing textures, the game rarely lags, my FPS are always above 30 and I can get some nice settings. So yep, you can still do better. - Solve the cheating online. I know this is hard, because no matter how many patches and updates you apply, sooner or later hackers will be able to crack the game again and make all their sh*tty trainers work. So, a good solution, that I already posted, is something like: 1) Allow mods / trainers in Party Mode only and use an anti-cheating feature that is updated regularly and that checks not only for mods but also for memory addresses changes during the game. This would be valid for any free mode, player match and ranked match. 2) Allow mods / trainers in Party Mode and Free Mode only IF the host decides that way. Like you have the traffic, weather, location, etc., settings, you could also insert the "mods/trainers" option. Before the game start the host would decide whether cheating would be allowed or not. And if someone was using cheats while the option was for no cheating, then those persons would get kicked. I reckon that the 2 option would be the best one, since modders, hackers, cheaters and fair players would be able to enjoy their games without trouble. All the ranked and player matches would be anti-cheating, and Party Mode + Free Mode would have the cheating or not cheating option. Too bad the online is run by GFWL, so they probably don't want to see any mod or cheat online, no matter what game mode is. Anyway, it's clear that you must improve the anti-cheating feature. The online of GTA IV is really good, and during those 2/3 days after the 1.0.3.0 patch, that was HEAVEN and everyone I played with was pretty happy and above all else, having FUN. Which is the reason they bought the game after all. Like I did. I bought the game to give you money so you can make better games. Don't disappoint me, I'm kinda harsh to give my money away for videogames. Not many enterprises are on my fan list. Back to the list: - Fix the AI of Petrovic. Really, it sucks bigtime.
