In that game it takes you the same time in reality to drive to one spot to another. Have already wheeled around Liberty City and the highways -if you can call 'em that- are too short. A year later and I still regret losing the $50 I spent on this game. I tried to believe CharmingCharlie and the others who said Rockstar was going to make it right in the end, but now they've all come to realise it too. We got burned. I feel sorry for all the people like me that really didn't have the $50 to spend, but wanted to support Rockstar, and don't even have a direct way to voice their dissapointment to the company they trusted to give them a usable product. It's pretty obvious why Rockstar doesn't operate a forum of their own, they don't want to get the death threats, etc. from an irate public. It's extremely obvious how much they care about the people who purchase they're products. I bought this game for the online part of the game, and from all I've read there is next to nothing they can do at this point to fix that. I am still playing GTA 4 every day even today thanks to the EnvMod 5 my copy has been given a new lease of life. As to whether there will be a new patch that all depends on what is happening with the DLC for the PC now. When they are ready to roll that out they will have to patch the game ready for it we can hope that they will also take the opportunity to fix any remaining issues whilst they patch the PC ready for the DLC. However right now I am not expecting a patch to "just" fix issues, the game is as good as it is going to get for now at least. Oh I just had a look at the Rockstar Toronto account, it seems like they have been sniffing around again. They last visited this forum on the 4th November 2009. I agree as well I don't regret at all not getting the game, I do regret in not spending enough money on my PC when I had the chance to have a quad core instead of a dual core, but that was my decision. But I feel that GTA IV is still a very good game, and I think R* still cares for their customers, but I think a few will agree with me that the Console market is much more satiable then the PC market can be, since all you need to do fora Xbox 360 and PS3 is the same medium setting graphics you could achieve in your settings for your PC. Also maybe they will soon either port or make an expansion of TLATD and TBOGT, so it is taking time, also there is still economic issues that Take2 probably encountered who knows, when they are ready then they are ready to release something new or a patch. I am 100% behind Take2Interactive and Rockstar I can still wish for stuff but some things cannot feasibly be put into a patch, why not just make a whole new expansion or game. It changed but you don't know what ! Try looking at the trophis (Gta IV TLAD Trophis) or at the controls,or look how the loading screens are picked up random ! Some noticed improvements, some say it did not change a thing and some say it brings more problems than benefits. I am planning to install the patch this Friday to try it out and share my experience but I first want to backup my GTAIV folders. If it brings a performance increase; sure i’ll take it but if things turns out bad, I want to quickly restore the game. Besides copying the ProgramFile\GTAIV, the User\ApplicationData\GTAIV and the Windows registry is there anything else I should backup? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I will spell it out for you: Change Log: Convert all region SKU's into the same SKU. My Explanation: This means pretty much everyone is playing the exact same game now which helps to slip stream the delivery of down-loadable content centrally and efficiently from a single source, be it on several serving paths, a single file none the less. There was no reason to invest in making everyone the same other than this. TLaD achievements published - there would be no reason whatsoever to change this if it didn't coincide with this update being a patch to line up all installs for the DLC. This is Title Update 5, and the version numbers have changed for some reason unbeknown to us, but it is still title update 5 as a GFWL game. Change Log: * Allow controls to be double mapped on keyboard. * Added option in controls menu to disable mouse controls in helicopters. * Adjust keyboard control sensitivity in hood cam view in vehicles. The third one is interesting and I would like to hear from people who complained about "mouse acceleration" (I have no idea what they are talking about and still don't, but if as many are complaining, it must be real) but does the patch fix that? Because thats what I have seen people say "FIX THE... It's most noticable in hood cam view, etc etc" so I am wondering is it just the hood cam, or is this "mouse acceleration" thing fixed for you guys? That's another reason this patch is big, if indeed it is fixed, for those people. * Security Updates to deter cheating in multiplayer. * Hosts can now immediately Kick users from their games in Lobby and in game via Cell phone without having to rely on peer voting. * Fixed a bug in Cops 'n Crooks mode where Host would drop out and prevent remaining players from leaving game. deter cheaters - in other words, we can f*cking KICK people now, THANK YOU SO MUCH ROCKSTAR <3 It also leads me to think perhaps there is more than just the manual player option, and more than just the "replace your files first" message - hopefully the game can assume and kick on its own now. I haven't been lucky enough to play cops and crooks yet, but I do hope that these improvements in multiplayer make things more active online IMO it's probably time to close this topic and open a 1.0.0.5 wishlist lol... I never tried multiplayer before but when i looked for GTA IV MULTIPLAYER MODS in youtube i saw a guy shooting bombs with a pistol.. WTF?
