One thing I kind of hate of GTA games (at least 3Ds)... begin a new game. There should be an option to skip "tutorials", I think we already know how the game works after 1 run. First i want to tell you guys (and maybe girls ) it is a good patch, really but some things MUST be changed: 1: Remove the modding protection (There are some guys (including me) who likes to mod their handlings of their cars). And other people who want to mod the game entirely (Like other cars, new boats, heli's, etc...). Or their weapons (More powerfull). It can't be done now. That is disappointing!!! At least for me. 2: The cheating (Using trainers): I know cheating is bad!! Really, but we must draw a border: We know when we open our ingame mobile phone that we have an option to go online. Put the anti-cheat protection on Ranked match and let us choose if we want it on in Player match (When we create an server). Just like the options: Location, Duration, Friendly fire, etc. Make an option: Anti-Cheat Protection... Just in case you don't get it: Ranked match = Protected! Player match = Un-protected UNLESS we choose to put it on (Like the other options: Location, etc). 3: The makers of gta IV must spend more time to make gta IV look better, without going graphically reverse. Like the shadows: I must look 100 times before i realised that they were shadows . Dreddpool Posted March 23, 2009 Share Posted March 23, 2009 Unless this has been address in the replacing of objects in the new 1.0.3.0 patch i would like to see the swings of death back in game, I for for one think it's fun to reverse a cop car with lights and sirens going into the swing and watch it fly. One time I managed to swing the one car 4 times before it blew up, well the fifth time I blew up mid-flight. i have been to where there supposed to be but ony found 3 of them on first island the rest have either been removed or have been replaced by basketball/tennis courts or some other thing. Not true. --- My wishlist in order of priority: - Continued support to keep modding completely out of multiplayer - Dx10/Dx11 support with AA - Less grainy shadows. - Bloom slider from 10 all the way to 0 - Very High texture quality setting - Increased polygon count on the more blocky objects - DLC at that high resolution you ownt notice the edges of the pixels on the screen, so why you would need AA then? You WILL notice jaggies at that resolution. do i have to say that i nearly dont notice anything of it at 1278×1080? I run it at that res so I know what its like; I can only say that if you can hardly notice jaggies at 1280 x 1080 you must have severe eyesight problems Either that or he's running the game on a really tiny screen. But don't you think when i want to play with a trainer so i can spawn cars, etc that i will look for a solution that works for Free mode? And when i find it it will work on Ranked too??? If they remove the protection at party mode and let us choose if we want it at the other Player matches, then i dont need to found a solution because they allready have one. I can "cheat" again on the servers who put the protection off and you can play on a protected server. I must agree: There would always some idiots who trying to hack the ranked servers. It will always going that way. So let us choose if we want the protection on or off, so less people want a solution... Think harder: "Punkbuster" Enabled on every server??? = More "Cheaters" are trying to find the solution (And that maybe work on ranked too). "Punkbuster" enable/disable??? = Less "Cheaters" who want a solution because they will choose a non-punkbuster server instead of a Ranked or protected. Conclusion: Cheaters allways want a solution to cheat!! So it dont matter but you can do something about that. Remove the protection and let us choose if we want it on... I don't want to get rid of cheaters but want to give them a space to cheat/mod. I know cheating is wrong but for me: I want to make my game better in the way i want (I like to drift but the cars in gta IV won't let me too (It is not realistic enough, atleast for me)). Well i go play gta now without cheats that is fun too, really. but i use cheats for this: I drift, an idiot came with rocketlauncher, boom!!! iam dead and car is dead too. We're all happy they fixed the clock tower, missing hotdog stands and textures. What they did not fix or rather... simply messed up, however, is a different story. Don't worry, Rockstar, it could've been much worse... on that basis alone, you can congratulate yourself for having done a pretty good job not screwing it up completely! Why don't we make a list of things we want fixed this time, so when they finally realise a new patch is needed, they'll know what to do. I encourage you to post your suggestions about what you want to be included in the new 1.0.4.0 patch, what you dream of and what your speculations are when it comes to things that will probably never get fixed. I'll do my best to write everything down in a manner as objective as it can only be. You'd better start working on the new patch, Rockstar! Wish List #1: Most Pressing Issues: 1) No DVD Why am I punished for buying an original copy of the game whereas a friend who downloaded it from a torrent site is not ? I still can't figure it out... 2) Multiplayer Mods Free Mode is now boring. Noone can deny we had issues with modding but you've got it all wrong and disabled multiplayer modding completely. An efficient anti-cheat system must be implemented 'cause at this point you're only making things worse. The host must be allowed to disable/unable mods in multiplayer games. An "Anti-Cheat Option" may be included in game settings just like weather is. Only ranked matches should be protected and custom matches should have the option to unable/disable mods. 3) FPS Drop (and increased load times) Even though majority of people seem to gain FPS... some report a significant drop. What have you done this time R*? Further rendering optimisations are needed. 4) Game Instability, Crashes and Freezes Memory leaks must be fixed. The forum is flooded with posts by people not being able to run the game. My game crashed twice today. Oh, no! It's an improvement, actually! Yesterday it was like 15... so thanks R*. 5) Micro-stuttering Unfortunately it happens all the time. I guess the poorest optimisations in this field can be noticed in multiplayer. 6) Full SLI Support What you've given us is not enough. Get the job done for god's sake. 7) Gamepad Issues Despite the fact R* claims to be making an effort to increase gamepad support... it somehow fails persistantly. I had so many issues myself, I finally bought an XBox Controller - but why should everyone else be forced to do it? 8) Voice Chat Received with Microphone Turned Off Some people report it's become harder now to silence unwanted voice communication. After applying patch 1.0.3.0, a number of operations must be performed to switch a player off. 9) V-Synch Loading Times V-Synch takes ages to load on some systems. 10) Option to Disable Rain Lower end machnines get in trouble when the weather effects kick in. There should be an option to disable them. Wish List #2: Significant Improvements 1) Anti-Aliasing Filter This is something we all wish to see and probably never get... R* simply doesn't care. 2) DirectX 10 Support A dream come true! 3) Fixing Shadows They're so grainy, it's hard to call them shadows. 4) Flashing Textures Have you ever been driving really fast on a speedway? Then you certainly know what I mean... 5) Expansion Pack/PC Downloadable Content It could be "The Lost and Damned" but not necessarily. As long as we get the following: - More Buildings with Interiors - More Clothes and Customisation Sounds ridiculous? Not really, most PC games get expansions and additional content, why don't we? 6) Enhanced Multiplayer Menu There's no way to properly name and categorise games. No easily accessible chat. Loading multiplayer takes too long. Rockstar Social Club should be optional. 7) Editting Multiplayer Game Modes The game modes get boring after some time so it would be good to have an option to edit them. 8) Sitting Mod Some of the well-known mods are based on great ideas that could be incorporated into the game. For instance, The Sitting Mod by Hergonan, which allows Niko to sit on benches by pressing F12. The newest version has few bugs but doesn't work with patch 1.0.3.0. I was informed it is due to the lack of an update in the mod. Peds in cars draw distance must be fixed, so that sniping is actually useful. 11) Car Turn Signals Well, I have to agree that would increase realism... 12) Remote Detonation Charges Something more than the car bombs... a C4 function would be sweet! 13) Guns with Silencers Class of guns that would allow you to shoot without attracting police attention. Many of your suggestions have already been included in the list! All ideas are welcome! ;-) I agree 110% with that performance drop. A wheelchair, that would be sweet to go on a hill, get in a wheelchair and goooo!. Think of all the jackass remake movies you could make in gta 4. Or even better, off a hi-rise roof in a wheelchair. Oh, and how about a shopping cart to ride in too!. And a spurce moose plane made of wood! And the ability to actually fly in planes like as a passenger. For example: You could pick up Michelle for a date, and on the way to the bar, drop off a package for Jacob and maybe stop in to see what Vlad wants you to do. It's more realistic that way. Since using mods online is such a hot-button issue, R* should find the best native trainer out there and actually include it in the next official patch along with an enable/disable feature for online and the ability to kick out anyone using an un-official trainer. Since that trainer already exists, it wouldn't take much work for them to do it, and this "to cheat online or not to" debate can finally be put to rest. I agree with free mode is now pointless, free mode should still be mod mode, obviously when they were creating this game for the 'PC from the ground up' pppffffttttt they didn't think about a lot of things and now there paying for it singeplayer+free mode mods allowed all other multiplayer mod free servers would have been nice although for the amount of players in some games it actually runs pretty well but i guess that's not the only reason for servers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This is what i want: General: Take phone out = numpad * Phone accept = Enter Phone accept Alt = numpad 5 Phone cancel = Backspace Phone up = arrow up Phone down = arrow down Phone left = arrow left Phone right = arrow right Heli: Throttle up = w Throttle down = s Pitch forward = arrow up Pitch back = arrow down Bank left = arrow left Bank right = arrow right Rotate left = a Rotate right = d In vehicle: Lean forward = arrow up Lean back = arrow back But when i configured General and then Heli, gta IV removed the arrowkeys from the General. And the same for Lean forward/back: Now the arrowkeys up/down are removed from Heli and General and put it by Lean forward/back... But it doesn't seems to make any sense, because what is the connection between the phone and the heli??? or with Lean forward/back??? I think there is none. Only if you bring up your phone when your in an heli and go down the heli will go back But who brings up his phone in a heli??? Or the connection between a bike and a heli...
