They have other things to work on too and they dun get money from working so hardly for a patch. This wish list includes alot of cool and awesome stuff but lets be real!They can't do all that stuff!Maybe if u pay them they will... It's alot of hard work to do all those things ya know.It's a real shame and dun say don't hope for another patch. It's not even a 64bit exe from what I have read, it has to be a 64bit install and exe to launch in order to actualy utilize 64bit. If I am wrong sorry but, that is what I have read on here some where. Mine is installed in the 32bit program files folder not the 64bit one. Smoother, maybe a couple more frames, but not many. Smoother is the key word. We all discussed it before, wondering that it might be the GFWL being .net and having 64 bit = x64 .net There are theories, but it does work better. 1.0.5.0 = Lining up your game for the episodes. I am not complaining but I am waiting for the new GTX 300 series to come out. Maybe a new patch will come out during the release of GTX 300 series, or for mid-November since that was when GTA IV PC was released. Man, i'm so angry about this game and all things about pc gaming btw i fixed the game by editing some files and use some files from realizam the last (3 hours work). I had not played a long time but now everytink is like before And i think that 50-60% from users of this game use some mods or editing files in otherwise is impossible. But on September 22nd 2009, that is 3 years after the 1.41 patch, EA release patch 1.5, and now that I am playing BF2 again, I noted there are about 2000 BF2 servers, but that is probably because hosts can get money though the servers. The point is I wouldn't be surprised if in August 2010 R* releases their patch. But I still think that since R* did team up with Nvidia and are kind of sponsored by Nvidia, and they are waiting until GTX 300 series comes out in January, so then they can probably release the patch to take advantage of Direct X 11 on both Nvidia and ATI cards. Also since Windows 7 released recently they are probably still tinkering with it. But maybe it will be a very late release of the patch. CrowbarRX Posted November 8, 2009 Share Posted November 8, 2009 hey, i run a 9600GT maxed and GTA IV runs fine! haha, but anyway, there probably will be one final patch, as others have said Windows 7 has just come out, the GTX300 series is out in a few months, throw in DirectX11 and bam (although DX11 isn't exactly massively different to DX10). The main thing they would be working on is Windows 7 complete compatibility i'd image, once thats down, boom, we're good. Also, if they are going to release DLC, the game will probably be patched up to be compatible with the DLC, maybe new effects/cars/radio stations etc in the original PC version as a bonus, as PC users always get some bonus. (I say that in reference to F.E.A.R 2. Its recommended you get the latest patch before the DLC or it might implode). Who the hell knows eh? Speculation aside, there will probably be a patch, no point blaming R*, they are a fairly decent company, and i'd say they do remember that GTA originated on the PC back in the 90s, so somehow i doubt they'd just ignore the original Grand Theft Auto players (you'd hope. p.s.
