GTA4 has not been fixed in near a year. Wich game doesnt have AA and choices between DX9 and DX10? Its still a nice game, but a load of faults and half assed job, it makes it worst than Saints Row 2. A f*cked up game in the history. Good placement in museum. Even Charlie finds it f*cked up game At mods, you'r funny lol Atleast you have feel of humor. It does seem a bit strange that you attack and slag Microsoft off yet you are sporting the Vista logo. Anyway getting back to the topic in hand, I am very doubtful we will see another patch myself. Even if we ignore for a moment Rockstars history of just leaving things unfinished there is another obstacle in the way. That obstacle is the Games For Windows Live program. Here is what I don't know. I started out as a big Games for Windows Live advocate. I intended for Elemental to be on Games for Windows Live, but then as we got closer, the Xbox group took it over more and more. And they have things where, oh, if you want to use Games for Windows Live to update your game, you have to go through [their] certification. And if you do it more than X number of times, you have to pay money. source Now we all know how much Rockstar just lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvves spending Money on the PC version . We have had four patches and they must be in "pay per patch" territory by now. So that is just one more reason to be sceptical that we will get another patch. Oh and I know that article has been refuted by Microsoft and they have stated they "don't charge" but then Microsoft are lying f*ckers which is probably why Rockstar get on so well with them. I know it's here to stay and that's unfortunate. If it's not GFWL, it's something else anyway...and it's all crap. I don't mind Steam as much as the rest but it still has its days. The way I see it too, given what you pointed out, M$ owe R* some slack for the incident way back with the GFWL update that sent poor GTA into seizure mode. It wasn't enough to be in the way in the first place, they had to make the game go completely retarded (which begs some interesting questions about what it's doing besides being annoying). I still hold out a ray trace of hope for one more patch. Just one more. You guys may be right and that's sad. R* seems to get so close with these things but never quite "get there" in the end and now, GFWL provides that extra obstacle (besides other complications with DLCs and platform exclusivity). The game is a far cry from what it was the day it was released though and that's saying something. We weren't completely abandoned even if that's the case now. You all know it too, like all GTAs, the core is always juicy. J.u.i.c.y. I've enjoyed this one as much as any other though it seemed a bit shorter. It sure is pretty to look at. But however, the GFWL just has f*cked up this game. Very very glad there are coders and modders wich have skills to make XliveLESS. And the more sadler, the DLC's, in the TBOGT has parachutes and more cars addons. And they seems very nice. My knowlegde suck ass. Does anyone know if the MS and R* has contract? And if yes, when it will be over? Or will it be for ever? To avoid big off (lol) I wish the patch5 will compress textures. Maybe it will make the game smooth and the game folder less big than 15GB. That all your dreams will be fulfilled and that the roots of your wangs all of the sudden will feel the warm juicy touch of a womans lips? Dont have such high hopes, dont have any at all. Just face the fact that IV is kinda crappy on PC´s and pray that til the next GTA they have learned their lesson, if they release it at all to PC´s in the future. To be fair, he was probably out right told to stop coming here because I kept calling and finding very very surprised reactions that Jason was coming here. Like, they acted like they had no idea. I think a patch will still come because they need to: FIX THE DAMN DIRECT INPUT ROCKSTAR. Also, I doubt there are very many people with the same sentiment. IV will remain on my PC, as SA still does. I never had to reinstall the game because no crashes. But yester I was having to try the gamingfeel back, first some few games, SA and NFS Shift. Later opened up the GTA4, 20 later minutes lagged like hell. From atleast 23-25FPS to 10ish. Tried to reinstall the game and seems f*cked up. The only solution is to reinstall OS.
