Which Patch do you choose?

1.0.3.0 for improvements, no-MP cheating.

1.0.2.0 for mods.

because i loved to play MP with the super rocket fly mod

i loved it because no police was going to kill me

but now it sucks

Patch number 3. Just because I hate MP cheaters and now I can play the game online, without worrying about the cheaters ruining my game. It also has some good improvements

I don't care for the multiplayer feature due to lack of free time, so I'm playing with 1.0.1.0. It's the best patch IMO; I can fully enjoy all my mods in SP and that's pretty much all I care for.

 

I've tried 1.0.2.0 update, but there wasn't any performance boost and on top of that a lot of in-game objects were removed, so I went back to 1.0.1.0.

 

And of course, after all the hogwash I've read about 1.0.3.0, I'm not even going to bother to try it.

R* should just decrease the quality of all of the graphical features in this game until we eventually turn everything off. Then we can all get 60+ fps with all the shadows, reflections, physics, and shaders removed from the game entirely.

Apparently you don't even understand your own points.

Your solution to his "ugly shadows" problem is to turn them off ? How unacceptable.

Saw a few posts in the 1.0.3.0 topic that say the third patch includes the 2 previous ones as well.

Seeing the, hmm, quality of previous patches... I would install 1, then 2, and finally 3, in order just to be safe.

That's what I was thinking.

 

I wonder if some of the problems people have are due to quirkyness plus just bypassing 1+2+3 patch installs

and heading straight to 3.

 

Or if some persistent issues can be resolved with heading straight to 3 from a fresh install.

first i install patch 3, but i get memory leak problem..stuttering..performance in patch 3 is nice, i can get 58-59 FPS..but i dont think thats the real average FPS, never use FRAPS anyway..  

 

this time i back to patch 2, at least i can use trainer and mod, never play multiplayer though..never and dont care..

so dont blame me about cheater and some assholes who ruined your game in MP..i never played GTA 4 MP and never planned to play it..if i want to play mp, i will go to internet cafe with my friends playing Left 4Dead or COD 4 or Good ol' Counter Strike..GTA 4 SP is already super sweet for me, i always love the GTA Story..  

Hmm just say you don't have the original copy...

 

It's very very hard to find a store that sells original games copy in our country, btw

bro..i am in Malaysia actually,but i am Indonesian..bought the original copy of GTA 4 in here..and yes,it is very hard to find original game in Indonesia..even in jakarta..

Yeah I am having the exact same issue, the shadows look terrible and my whole system freezes after 5 minutes. This was never an issue on the previous versions. I have a GTX280 + Q9450.

I use the 1.0.3.0 patch because it makes the game alot more playable and the textures appear more quickly etc...

patch 1.0.3.0 because I can turn down and even turn off reflections because they simply stuttered my game so bad. but I only realised that 2-3 days ago lol

hmmm...i dont know..but maybe it is..coz it make the graphic more crispier...like when u using anistrophic filtering..salam kenal bro..
