Which Patch do you choose?

I vote Patch 3

Everything runs great, and no cheaters!.. For a little while at least, I’m sure they’ll be back.

The only thing I don’t like is how they force us to listen to the little kids screaming on their microphones until we mute every individual one.

All because of a clocktower and some displays????

I feel also very sorry for u, jeah really, because you non-modders have no idea, what you missed with all that stuff what made the game more realistic, like physics or tweaks.

 

And you will never see it now.

 

But go on to be happy with your clocktower and your displays, park your car, lay down, enjoy your REAL game!!

 

 

I don´t need no new Patch from Rockstar, i´m done now.

 

But there´s also something positive now: Saints Row 2 looks a little bit better to me now, after Rockstar sucked. ROFL

Patch 2 because Patch 3 gives me memory leak

for me the 3th patch is the best out so far. I haven't been using to big file modifications and the "commandline.txt" file did only work in patch 3 (i've been using the shortcut thingy before).

 

And the FPS is mush mush better now. Before the patch i got arround 20-25 pfs. Now i got 30-35 sometimes up to 40.

I use combination of second and third patch,because 3rd patch gives me some error so i extracted files from it and replaced the original files with them.

Game runs great and no more z-fighting issue because of new shaders.

For me patch one. Since 1.2 my GTA crashes very often, before it never crashes. The most worst patch is 1.3. No more creativity, no more mods, no more ramps & such and no performance mods like lesser particles at rain. And the memory leak. GTA IV sucks with 1.3.

1.0.3.0 because texture missing problem is gone

I voted patch 1.0.3.0

Because it restored the missing objects from 1.0.2.0 and had the disable v-synch option (from 1.0.2.0) and removed the cheating and added the news stories "ticker tape" and the clock for the clocktower

There are still a few issues and quirks left in this game, which I hope to see resolved soon

Finally I change to 1.0.3.0 altough no mods available for even SP

 

I love the hot dogs, clock and billboards are back, and also the very much FPS improvement (for me)

 

The "security" that prevent modded game to play MP doesn't bother me at all, because I almost never play MP, SP is fun already

 

Anyway, I just see someone vote for No Patch, really? I think 1.0.0.0 is the worst version.

for me its the 1.02 patch, i was able to play 1680x1050 with all in high settings except for the view distance ofcourse and im getting 36-40 fps on that setting, but when i installed the new patch i loss 7fps dropping to 33fps with the same setting.

and to add up i m getting random crashes now because of the new patch.

None! They're all crap.

Athough the latest patch gives a slight FPS increase, which was never an issue for me anyway, it has done nothing for the grainy/flickering shadows. (even tried the shader mod but it did nothing)

It has broken the previously working workaround for controllers, which leads me to believe that R* are whoring xbox controllers for M$.

 

1.0.4.0 had better be a miracle cure or I'm jumping ship.

I loved the game most, when it didn't have any patches out yet. For me, they just made things worse and I had to put attention on them.

Was the best for me,at least I could play the f*ckin game.Now I dont last longer than five mins till the game stutters to a stop,then nicely reboots my comp.

 

Like someone else said R* better pull something outta the hat for the next patch or....or....goddam theres nowt I can do they have my money already.

 

I also contacted R* support with this issue on friday,still waiting for a reply

I stay up-to-date and I wanna play online. I don't care about mods, If I can have mods I mod. If I can't that I don't mod.

 

And Performance I don't really see as a problem, I can lower the settings I do. Of course I want better graphic but still want to have a playable game too.

so dont blame me about cheater and some assholes who ruined your game in MP..i never played GTA 4 MP and never planned to play it..if i want to play mp, i will go to internet cafe with my friends playing Left 4Dead or COD 4 or Good ol' Counter Strike..GTA 4 SP is already super sweet for me, i always love the GTA Story..

Hmm just say you don't have the original copy...

i installed 1st patch but did'nt really see any change to game

 

installed 2nd patch and the game was worse, have graphical issues and the lag was even worse so i went back to patch 1

 

installed patch 3 and R* pulled a f**king rabbit out of its hat coz it fixed all the previous problems, the game has never run so good

Patch 1.0.3.0 ... why? For the steps against a cheat-free MP ofcourse. Stay at it R* ... It´s finally enjoyable to play GTA IV MP again.
