System796
If you install this tweak and turn Off shadows, it puts the city under one giant shadow or something.Well, it looks like it disables sunlight entirely... Anyhow, is there anyway to disable world shadows but keep shadows from cars and people? I like the fps boost without shadows, but having cars with no shadows is kind of ugly. Just wondering... I'm gonna look for it. I've noticed something with my own tweak. When you turn the shadows "OFF", the vehicles seem to have shadows under them, but yeah, the city looks like it's been hit by a meteor.
WTFX
Soo.. Do these affect the performance negatively as much as 1.0.3.0 shadows? weird tho, it's obvious shadows use cpu too, altho it says in the menu they should only affect video memory and gpu as i know my cpu is the bottleneck and i can put my gfx settings much lower but shadows will still give around 10 fps drop (huge!).. I'm pretty sure that's what is controlled by the shadow density slider. set it to 1 or 2.
Vicetopia
I'm pretty sure that's what is controlled by the shadow density slider. set it to 1 or 2. If you set shadows to Off, does the shadow density slider do anything? I'll give it a try anyway. brb. edit; Nope, no changes. Anything from 0 to 16 all looks the same with shadows off. What I mean is that I think setting it at one or two with shadows on will give you what you want.
bp2018
Shadow density affects shadows cast by things such as headlights and streetlights, so you won't generally notice a difference unless its night.

chasez
GTA IV shadows looks bad in every patch except patch 1.0.3.0. Just because you don't use it on very high def so you just think it looks bad. None of the other patches can beat that one just try it for a minute.
