So, we will have to wait and see.. I wasn't born yesterday mate. And I was never crying about R*... But I've never seen any hotfixes from them so I doubt they are going to do anything in the nearest future I wasn't talking about you when i said "crying" But yeah, just give em some time. For example, the game will be cruising along at 40-50 fps, then suddenly it will drop down to 10-15 FPS for like 5-10 seconds. I checked my temps, and I defragged, and still the same. I tried lowering graphics settings, disabling clip capture too, and still no go. I did not have this problem in the previous version. Any help is appreciated. I just re-installed the game and patched again etc clean install got latest drivers and everything before clean install game crashed after main menu loading the story complete part now it just crashes before even getting to main meny wtf seriously....... When actually playing, the game still dips down to 21 FPS, but there was more consistency in the 27 - 35 FPS range. Also, 40 - 60 FPS happens more often. Great news overall! Thnx again R*! mikeyisdead Posted March 21, 2009 Share Posted March 21, 2009 Well my game was working fine til i patched to 1.0.3.0... now it gets to loading the mission then CTD... tried restart, reinstalling the patch etc... no clue why it's suddenly doing this, system is good enough to play.. i have been playing it happily for a few weeks... anyone have any ideas? Zybba Posted March 21, 2009 Share Posted March 21, 2009 (edited) I saved before uninstall my folders "data" and "common" from the GTA directory. Then in un- and reinstalled. After that I got the patches over Windows Live in the game. After that I copied my saved folders into the new directory. The single player game works, if you start "LaunchGTAIV.exe" THIS WORKS: Improved explosions are working. Models (cars, weapons) are like they should be. Ingame internet, handy themes and the pictures in playboys mansion are ok too. The handling seems to work. I have seen some rare cars and busses driving around. More mouse buttons are supported too, like promised. Motion blur from the ultimate graphic tweak isnt working for me, but for a other forum member. The mod for more peds and cars works. THIS WORKS NOT: There are the original names from the game, when I enter a car. Not mercedes but feltzer. The new modded front for the ford taxis an police cars isnt inside. If the real enviroment mod works I dont know... Im not sure how it looked before and after the mod... The same wirt plane paths, i dont liked this mod so much so i uninstalled it. I dont tested to use trainers and things like this, but I think they wont work, they must be modded for the new version.
