heat84
I installed the new patch today , and now when i say start the game starts from the beginning it does not laod my save game !! Anyone else have this problem! Please help was almost finished with the game Are you using the Xlivless mod? The version of the mod used with the 1.0.0.2 patch doesn't work with 1.0.3.0. You need .95b. The Xlivless mod has the game access the savegames from ...\MyDocuments\Rockstar Games instead of the normal location. I don't know what happens if you try to use the old mod version with the new patch, but I imagine the game will go back to accessing the games from the normal location. hrishi47
Is there any way to uninstall the patches (bcoz it doesn't appear in 'Add/Remove Programs' in Control Panel)? Or is there any way I switch between the 1.0.2.0 & 1.0.3.0 patches without uninstalling the complete game? Please help.

Hydro_PT
is there anny way to downgrade to 1.0.2? Just download and apply the 2nd patch. It will downgrade your game without any problem. To keep it on that version you just need to refuse the third patch installation when GFWL is started. Be aware that you won't be able to play online or log in with version 1.0.2.0. Are you sure about this? If he downgrades from 1.0.3.0 to 1.0.2.0 he will have mixed files from both versions. Some people already said they have problems after "rolling back". Dhatz
if we ever start to edit models(or if we fix the forcefeedback and disable dynamic streeting lock), it has to be this patch i will use when i'd want to run the game then. for next patch(if there's gonna be any) they's better add motionblur and DOF switching and make it override the cuscene harcoded DOF. Girish
Your processor is average, you have a mobile graphic card and you're expecting the game to run at a higher fps than 10 at that high resolution and medium settings!? Turn down the resolution and settings. You'll gain a few fps that way.

Girish
Where can i find the autosave sounds? I mean which folder? Autosave sounds? Or do you mean the autosave savegame? If that's what you mean, then you can find the save in the same folder as your other save games. It'll be named 'SGTA412'.
computergeek
Grr after a bit of a GFWL meltdown during the install process (the program was about 90% there and then the whole thing just crashed) i went and installed the patch off the internet. But now i notice that there is a horrible flickering when the gta iv logo fades out in the 'intro' as well as flickering at the end of the loading images. do any other people experience this? and is there a way to fix it? any help would be appreciated. I don't think that audio is so easily available in the game files. I checked the audio folder and none of the SFX is directly available in any of the standard audio formats. You'll be better off seeking help from someone in the modding forums.

See at my sig I have weaker gfx card but get a higher FPS LOL Your CPU is slightly better, your resolution isn't that high, you're using a 32-bit OS and you're running the second patch. All those things collectively make a difference. Also, someone with an exactly similar configuration as you might be running the game at a higher fps than you whereas someone might not be able to run the game at all. The point is, irrespective of your configuration, if you think you have a low fps, the first step is turn down all settings. I have a quad core and a HD4850 and I'm running the game at low detail settings just to get that extra fps out of the game. I average somewhere between 30 and 45 fps. Dhatz
why are so many people using patch 2? that one really messes up half things, i can see a reason to use either 1 or 3 but no reason to use 2.

I use patch 2 when I want to have fun with a native trainer. God mode, ammo, speed boost, teletransport, car spawner and all those things can be very fun to use in SP. I haven't managed to find a native trainer working on version 1.0.3.0 yet, so I stick with 1.0.2.0 to have fun.
Tim Riches
Well, I tried 1030 after a fresh install, and it runs as well as it did with 1020/fusion. I'm surprised by that, and quite pleased with the scrolling signs etc. It looks much nicer now. However, until there is a way to use Euphoria/Gravity/Vehicle-Player selector and other mods, I'll be uninstalling and using 1020 again. While I agree that removing hackers from MP is desirable, the disabling of mods in SP is ridiculous. And now I have to play with the DVD in again. Oh well, even the mods that say they are 1030 compatable aren't working, like Alice which must be removed for the game to run at all.
RJHNY1
If I install Patch 1.0.3, there is no need to install 1.0.1 or 1.0.2, correct? 1.0.3 includes both? Thanks for clearing this up.
