Waynio Posted March 30, 2009 Share Posted March 30, 2009 The only issue left with single player for me is the last mission, when trying to climb onto the heli, its like having a fit tapping the button, on xbox 360 it was easily doable, but much much much harder on pc but is possible. Never once with retail version, 1.0.1.0, 1.0.2.0 1.0.3.0 had a problem logging on to the pc's in the game. Now I have my Q9650 overclocked perfect to 4ghz with 1:1 ratio 8x 500fsb the single player game runs ultra smooth and looks awesome on auto settings with no more memory leaks, so the only thing that needs fixing properly now is online cheating or even make an exception for freemode to keep the cheaters happy too, I just find it bizarre that many people tollerate it and carry on playing with them. The only problem is that the freakin shadows look even sh*ttier with this patchl...so please make an effort and try to fix this in the 1.0.4 patch if its going to be one One strange thing i didn't say: I get a "GTA IV has stopped working" error AFTER i quit and exit the game completly. I dont really care about it as long as it doesn't crash the game while i am playing but its wierd... Nice one rockstar definetly good patch!! I wanted to mention it, but forgot - this latest patch removed those ugly gray boxes that used to spawn all over the place. I thought I was the only one who has having microstuttering issues after patch 1.0.3.0. I didn't have any MS on 1.0.2.0, but the instant I apply patch 1.0.3.0, I've had all sorts of problems. It took me a while before I figured out that the drunken camera was happening because of a mod that I installed (to which today I still can't remember which one) Anyway, I had to reinstall the game, patch the game to 1.0.3.0 with NO MODS for the drunken camera sh*t to go away. I don't get the gray boxes anymore nor the pop-up (those ugly texture fadings), but there is some sluttering. So wtf, why would it run properly? I t is not the system it is the port. Thanks for selln me a beta and patchin it 3 times. Ill admit with patch 3 i upgraded my drivers to no help if i install the game and patch till 1.2 it runs great. But patch 1.3 with in 1-2 min it chops or stutters or what ever u wanna call it. Most forum questions are never answerd by r o ck star. but are answerd by peeps spending hours to fix there own probs. then postin fixes . So cheers to them .
