TechniK Posted October 25, 2005 Share Posted October 25, 2005 Why does everyone have to be so "rockstar messed up the spawn points" or "it spawns on the incline", why can't you just say something like "it's CJ's mom letting CJ know she's watching him" or something errie, I don't see why everything has to be normal. But, if i am crazy, then what also seams feasable is that rockstar exploited the physics of the game to make a ghost car on purpose. but really, it is more fun to think of ghosts. R* put loads of other cars like that around the place and they don't fall down hills, so it was probably just a spawning problem. Some cars don't roll when stopped on an incline of a certain degree, some will roll on even the slightest slope. So either the people who placed the vehicles forgot that type might roll, or the people who made that car one of the beat up models didn't know it would be placed on a slope. I mean people make it out like Rockstar knows about everything and does everything on purpose. In reality there are so many people involved with making a game that it's easy for Guy A (who makes vehicles) to not know something that Guy B (who sets spawn points) does, especially since these areas aren't used in any missions and could be totally missed during testing. As for people wanting to think it's something more, that's fine. If someone wants to think that the fog in the mountains is really "ghost fog" or something that's fine too. Maybe the car thiefs are only stealing your car because they're late for a dialysis appointment. People are free to think what they want, the only time most people care is when someone tries to state that one of these little "ideas" of what is going on is actually a fact. Other vehicles less "ghostly" than a beat up Glendale drive themselves because they spawn on an incline. The vortex north of Bayside, and the sedan south of LS stadium. If there were no other rundown cars or no other cars than moved by themselves; the ghost car argument might have some credence but with the other factors it's ridiculous and annoying... Because I've seen some topics where people make stories or something (One of them was like a "bus trip" type thing where somebody took a few gang members around SA) that are filled with placing meanings on things that aren't or weren't originally intended. Because if someone uses the fact that the car rolls in a series of pictures, or a vid to make it seem like there is a ghost, or a midget you can't see or anything else, then I don't really mind it. The same way I don't mind when someone makes it like the dents in the car are from a bigfoot attack or some other silly thing. The only time it gets on my nerves is when people try to say that these things are supposed to have such unrealisitc meanings, or when they say something like "rockstar obviously meant for us to think that <place any in-game event or object here> was a ghost/ufo/bigfooot/any other dumbass thing" But yeah, the rolling cars is the one I find most amusing when taken the wrong way because it happens with so many other vehicles. The vortex is one thing because they will roll fairly quickly on any amount of incline, but the spot south of LS stadium (in Play Del Seville) that you mentioned actually happens with all sorts of vehicles. The one sedan (a Tahoma I think) is usually the one to spawn, but I've also seen a Huntley and a few other vehicle types spawn there, and they all move/roll down the ramp, just to varying degrees.
