What about Bill O'Reilly?

Again, O'reilly's show is about the opinion of Bill O'Reilly... It's not a news program.

The fact that he is a right winger and the entire fox lineup is right wingers, just further proves their conservative bias.

Probably because there are NO good right wing opinion shows on any other network..

What about Lou Dobbs? That guy's a right winger. The word ' Good ' in your post just shows that you only like the ones on Fox, there are other conservative pundits.

They are all terribly biased (Fox to right; CNN and MSNBC to left) - there is basically NO objective national news in this country.

It's sad. Journalists have failed us.

MSNBC because NBC is in the sh*tter and someone in the sh*tter can't afford going super-biased, right?

What do you think, honestly?

I wasn't sure; I keep on hearing people bagging the sh*t through him, and I was just asking what people's opinions on him are.

Just watch his show for a few minutes and I think you won't have a problem formulating your own opinion of him. His persona is very polarizing, by design.

Lmfao. People actually think that CNN is the most unbiased of the three mentioned beforehand? That is very sad. Anyone who knows anything about anything knows that CNN is a very far left biased program and Fox is a very far right biased program. MSNBC is kind of on the fence, I guess you could say.

MSNBC's entire lineup is liberal/left wing hosts.. and CNN's is actually news all night and they have one conservative ( Lou Dobbs )

CNN Isn't far left biased, I have never seen far left bias and I pretty much have CNN on all day while I'm on the computer, working out, eating, etc.

Have you ever watched Lou Dobbs? He is absolutely no liberal or moderate beliefs. He hates illegal immigrants, he hates drugs, he's fiscal conservative and calls Obama a socialist every night.

The whole Independent bullsh*t is just to make him look, well independent, which he certainly is not.

He's as much of an independent as Alan Colmes is a liberal.

You may want to consider to source, Media Matters For America, an overtly biased organization whose stated mission is monitoring only what it perceives to be "conservative misinformation" - not a word about the left's misinformation. I have no doubt that a similar video clip could easily be produced showing the very same practice in lefty media outlets.

I'm sure Olbermann and Matthews do crap like that all the time- however, that is from a FOX News NEWS program, not an opinion program.

MMA can't be false on that, because what they showed us is from C-SPAN.

But the host of the first segment is, if I am not mistaken, Laura Ingraham, a pundit who guest hosts The O'Reilly Factor. The second segment is of Sean Hannity, another openly biased pundit.

The editing of the third segment, however, is somewhat troubling. What is shown in the "full" clip (not even Media Matters gives us the full clip though...) does, however, also gives an indication of his appointment philosophy in that he begins his statement by emphasizing not the importance of respecting the traditional interpretation of the Constitution but rather speak of "empathy", "understanding and identifying with people's hopes and struggles", and seeking "just decisions and outcomes", qualities that lay outside the role of a judge, whose role is strictly to rule in accordance with the law and the legislative intent. It is up to the legislature to make sure that the laws are "just" (however the legislature defines that term). Instead Obama chose to speak in vague generalities that are up to the viewer to interpret.

At any rate, hard to believe that CNN is more biased than FOX. Actually, it seems to have actually gotten worse since Obama became president, or is that just me? They've obviously always been heavily slanted right, but it seems they've become completely unabashed.

I just went onto the FOX NEWS site and... I almost cried, honestly it felt as if the site was crushing my lungs. It was very distasteful, very blatant, and very sad to me for some reason.

BBC is most unbiased.

Then I would say CNN and FOX are equally biased. MSNBC isn't even news - that's liberal tripe.

They're all right-wing corporatist status quo-supporting trash.

FOX news goes for shock value and appeals to pure wing-nutters, CNN appeals to socially conservative soccer moms, and MSNBC has the two "liberal compared to those other guys" hosts. The political dialogue in this country is so f*cking sickening when people think CNN or MSNBC are left-wing or liberal. Even the fact such words have a mostly negative connotation in today's nomenclature is a testament to how far right government propaganda from the 50s to the 80s has pushed the general populace. I fear to think what would happen if there was any substantial left-wing movement in America today. There are enough people ready to f*cking murder a centre-right sh*thead President because the colour of his skin makes them think he's some foreign Marxist usurper who used George Soros' money to fund ACORN to steal the election from another centre-right sh*thead who couldn't get the nomination over George W. f*cking Bush in 2000 and has literally no sense of subtlety, political strategy, and is literally mentally and physically scarred and absolutely unfit to hold any public office.

COINTELPRO ain't sh*t compared to what we'd see, I tell you.

edit: On the other hand if you think FOX news is less biased than MSNBC please do us all a favor and pull your head out of your ass. The news channel that repeatedly lists Republicans in a scandal as Democrats and gives airtime to conservatives literally 90% of the time and hosts Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly is less biased than a channel that is full of centre-right talking heads and TWO slightly liberal pundits?

Well I agree on some points but only 30 percent of Americans are republicans and probably FOX news viewers. Then 30 is Liberal and the rest are crazy or independents. The host on MSNBC are highly Liberal and Obama is too. He's pro aborotion rights, hes for government regulation and he's more apt to raise takes on the rich. He supports a multilateral foreign policy too. He's pretty Liberal. Hell the only things he could be more Liberal on are Gay Rights and Marijiana use.

I voted CNN. Fox News is overly Conservative, and MSNBC is overly Liberal. Anybody who doesn't see that by now must be an idiot.

But just because CNN doesn't have a political stance doesn't mean it's as dramatic and over-the-top as the other two. Fox News brainwashes people to think that Obama is a Terrorist, MSNBC brainwashes people to think that Socialism is the way to go, while CNN creates nothing but fear.

I have several neighbors on my street with young kids who say "When I was a kid, we used to always hang out outdoors but these days its too unsafe so I never let my kids out of my sight". Its obvious that the media brainwashed people to think like this. When I'm not on the computer, I'm outside, around my neighborhood, or hanging around town. And I'm still alive, aren't I?

All the major news networks have interlocking directors. They all have worked for one another at the top. Basically, they all suck. There's no competition so far as the people at the top are concerned and it wouldn't matter to any of them if any station collapsed.

Unbiased news channel? Sky News (in UK) is fairly unbiased. I've watched Fox news and it is disturbingly biased. It worries me that many American minds are being poisened by this channel. They are ultra pro republican. They'd have you believe that public health care was cause to fear for your very freedom. They're living on another world from you and I.

Note: I didn't vote because I don't really watch these channels (except for Fox for a laugh).

The question remains "the MOST unbiased news channel."

Pages of this thread are rank with people saying "oh they're all biased, blah blah blah." Yes we know that, but that's no the question.

As far as I have known, CNN has been the most unbiased, because of how neutral its commentary is. FNC clearly has an agenda of some sort, whatever that may be, and MSNBC definitely is a Fox-bashing network.

I'd like to know who the idiots are who think Fox doesn't have an agenda

God damn I hate Glenn Beck. Bastard didn't even graduate from Community College. That's what I don't get. WHY do people listen to him? He can have an opinion, yes. But I'm not going to talk to a community college drop out about economics or international relations.

'Hmm, Colombia Lawyer or Mr potato head?'

I mean, would you talk to the community drunk about international issues, and take him seriously?

That's what Glenn Beck is. The community drunk, but he has a suit on.

LOL at the ending about Michael Moore. That fat bag of gas needs to be popped.

He does sound pretty stupid sometimes but I'm sadly disappointed that for a man that has a radio show and a nightly program for near a whole decade that the authors of that could only conjure up 4 and 1/2 minutes worth of supposed "fails".

Remember fellas, it's "oligarhy", and the FEMA camps do in fact, exist sad.gif

Given that like half the clips in that video are from when Beck worked for CNN, it must be that Fox has a time machine to push their agenda. I guess they borrowed Karl Rove's.

Because everyone knows Keith Olbermann is Bipartisan. sarcasm.gif

Don't get me started on Keith.

I don't trust Fox nor Msnbc

Doesn't matter whatsoever.

Question is; which network is the most unbiased. Glenn Beck could have been the damn spokesperson for CNN for all I care/know. It's the person I'm concentrating on-not the network he used to work for, and that farce is currently on Fox.

Ergo, Fox has this biased person in their line-up, reporting on the news and damaging their already soiled name. Question asks me of the present cable news networks, and Glenn Beck is right there, sitting cozy on Fox News.

But I wasn't aware of that. So I guess I learned something today. Thanks. monocle.gif

I'll also add that if you want truly unbiased reporting; get some of the most detached people around. I would think that international reporters (or, reporters from other countries) would be more unbiased. At least a little.

Well, when you use a video containing CNN clips as an example of Fox bias, it kinda matters. wink.gif

And CNN still has Anderson Cooper, Rick Sanchez, and Campbell Brown. While they don't reach the level of buffoonery of Beck (Sanchez comes close though..), they're equally biased hacks. Considering that Beck's bias is generally towards getting ratings from whoever dislikes the current government and from people with their tinfoil hats on too tight, he'll probably be back on CNN or maybe even MSDNC when a "Republican" wins in 2012.

Either way, this whole bias argument is ridiculous. Beck, Hannity, and O'Reilly are opinion shows, not news, so of course they'll be biased. Just like the three mentioned before on CNN, and Olbermann, Maddow, or Matthews on MSDNC. The straight news shows during the rest of the day on Fox are no more skewed one way than every other cable and broadcast network and almost all the major newspapers are skewed the other.

Besides, other than a few guest analysts here and there, Stossel on Fox Business, and sometimes Neil Cavuto, all the networks are infested by statist cheerleaders. Ergo, they all have a left wing bias from my viewpoint. tounge.gif

Well, broski, it depends. How far back were those clips?

(I'm not saying that in an arrogant or insulting manner, I really AM curious. I've watched CNN for 2 or so years now, and have never seen Glenn Beck there)

I'm basically saying 'look at these clips and see this crazy man. He is on Fox currently'; you're saying 'Some of those clips were on CNN, showing their Bias in the past', which is looking at the question in a more long-term fashion.

If we're talking history here, I'm sure the networks have swung one way and the other multiple times. But we're arguing semantics here, somewhat.

From a more historical perspective, Id agree with you, and not just cause you're an admin moto_whistle.gif . No Network has their hands clean, but....

CNN still has Anderson Cooper, Rick Sanchez, and Campbell Brown.

I TAKE HUGE EXCEPTION TO THIS

Rick is a f*cking lefty, and I will not try hiding that. He's never gone so far as to do the whole crocodile tears act, but he is certainly a lefty.

Yet, Campbell Brown and Anderson Cooper? Anderson won't even tell us his sexuality because 'HURR AS A REPORTER YOU HAVE TO KEEP OUT OF IT AND ONLY ACT AS EYES AND EARS TO EVENTS AND NEVER DRAW YOURSELF INTO IT TOTALLY NOT GAY'. I'd say they lean more to the left, but only because, quite honestly, they look the part, which is a blind assumption. But from my years (TWO WHOLE YEARS!) of watching CNN, I'd hardly call them biased. At least, not unreasonably.

Besides, other than a few guest analysts here and there, Stossel on Fox Business, and sometimes Neil Cavuto, all the networks are infested by statist cheerleaders. Ergo, they all have a left wing bias from my viewpoint. tounge.gif

I agree, actually. It's foolhardy to say that no one isn't at least somewhat biased. It's hard not to be. Unless you're analysts and reporters don't give a damn about politics and aren't Americans, they have an opinion. Either way, my vote still goes towards CNN.

People don't seen to get that Beck worked for CNN, it's where I developed my deep hatred for him. Glenn Beck doesn't represent the bias of Fox, he represents the fact that Beck is a lunatic wherever he is.

There is something off putting about Rick Sanchez, he's just some run of the mill family values type.
