Looks like you play at low settings m8 , can you post a screenshot ? Ill try to add some few to prove my point of view later today. no matter what settings you use you can't bypass the jagged edges, MS paint shadows, and boxy environment. jagged edges is thanks to no AA, Microsoft Paint 3.2 shadows we know all about, and boxy environment is a virtue of all 3d games in order to cut down on polygon use. increasing settings doesn't change any of those. even crysis at highest settings suffers from these things, though not so much because its a smaller and therefore more detailed environment and it has AA and nice shadowing. but the textures are still sh*t when you look close up, you can still see straight lines everywhere, and the graphics arent that much a leap ahead of the old 3d DOS games, lol. Look at it this way.Compared to console games GTAIV,and most of the games that are multiplatform look much better.Consoles have even lower-res textures because of the memory limitations.I think Crysis has problems with the rocks.Those textures are plain ugly.But it's the best out there so,let's hope CE3.0 which debuts at this months GDC will have better textures to offer. I barely can play GTA4 at nice FPS when TextureQ is on High. Shadows I prefer to at 0 I dont care about it. Lol, eye cancer on 12FPS and finished the game at 34% Posted by someone here.
