what is your favorite GTA?

what features from your favorite GTA would you want in the next GTA? my favorite is III and I want planes to return, as well as rampage missions, tanks and import/export garages.

SA, I have never played a game which has kept me more hooked, intrigued and entertained than that one.

San Andreas but I voted for Vice City Stories.

 

These games are just a perfect tie for me, I only prefer SA by a bit because of the hood and the soundtrack.

I put down San Andreas, It had my favorite map, weapons, clothing, and story. The only thing it lacked toward my second favorite (IV) was all those great tweaks like cover system, graphics, and the overall realistic feel. Both are great games, together would be a game I could not put down

Grand Theft Auto Vice city was and always will be my favourite game, full stop.

 

Best storyline, best protagonist and best setting. Nothing beats it.

Vice is my third favourite. Sometimes, I wish they never made GTA san andreas because when Vice City was new it was the best thing ever for me. Now it is kind of dated, but still a hella fun.

My favorite is still Vice City. Atmosphere is what it is all about. I'd like to see a game done with Vice City atmosphere, simplified gameplay (none of these playdates with your cousin) and running on the engine from IV. Euphoria and car physics are probably the only ways in which GTAIV exceeded previous games. It wasn't actually as much fun to play as VC and SA were, simply because they tried to put too much crap into it. But I digress. Yahtzee said it better than I could, anyways.

 

And yes, I really want planes to return, also. So maybe a larger environment, like in SA, wouldn't be a bad addition either.

VC, and IV in second. VC to me is the best GTA ever made. Can't get enough of the 80s, and Tommy is just a legendary protagonist.

[iMO]Anyway, features from VC I really miss would be the difficulty, better characters (if these are feature) and business that generate some cash after you complete respective missions. Not only those missions were optional, but they were among the best ever seen in GTA. Like the bank robbery or that pron studio stuff. Epic stuff.[/iMO]

 

I would also like to see the Empire missions (or what were they called) as seen in Vice City Stories. I haven't played it, but have heard only good things about them.

I had to go with San Andreas for the sole reason that it was the game that got me so hooked onto the GTA series. Although I had played III and VC before, it was SA that really made me want to get to 100%. It was only after that that I went ahead and completed Vice City (still haven't got to 100% though).

I'm not going to vote yet, because the only GTA games I've really played is IV, Liberty City Stories and a little bit of San Andreas.

 

I liked the gangs of LCS and San Andreas, but I liked the realism of IV. However I am awaiting my copy of Vice City Stories I got off e-bay. Never really played a Vice City GTA game before.

Well, in my opinion Vice City Stories did the 80's vibe way better in many ways. The buildings are more alive, the city is way more sunny, more neon light, the awesome orange sky and the soundtrack feels more 80's in general for me.

Totally agree on this post. But.. voted GTA 4, cause the realism and ..omg.. ragdolls with the original multiplayer. *sigh*
