SIKKS66
Haha yeah that would be awesome. Like, certain shorter levels where two of you have to work together to take out a target. Could have leaderboards which count time to kill the target and time to get away. I'd be all over that.
Abel.
Oh geez, can't wait for this game. I just really hope they've solved the repetitive format of the missions this time. Also FeaturePreacher: Will Ezio meet Galileo and be able to use his telescope? I wish. Who is the guy who’s saying that? I want him as a designer. , that would be cool though, be able to see and hear Galileo in a game, using the telescope looking at one of Jupiter's moons, assuming it was discovered by then. Too bad the PC version will be released at first quarter of 2010. First Dirt 2 and now this game? Well, Dirt 2 is one of the early adopters of DX11, perhaps Assassin's Creed 2 will follow suit and make use of the new API, hence its delay. I don't believe Ubisoft would delay/make detrimental changes to the best version of the game to spite PC Gamers (unlike a few other companies I shan't mention...*coughs Infinity Ward*). By the way, I have an informative theory concerning the game and its real-life relations that I am currently in the process of completing. Pokahontas.
Been spying on this thread for a long time and all I can say is that this game is gonna be the sex. If anyone hasn't seen it, well you better do it now.
SIKKS66
The first of the "Lineage" mini movies is out, telling the story of Ezio's father Giovanni: This...game..looks...EPIC
Don Garcia
I quite enjoyed that. Ezio's dad was like, the Italian Zorro.
SIKKS66
Haha yeah. Loving the brutality. Like when that chap gets his throat slit in the church. Screw MW2, I need this game NAU!
Greene
That was much better than I expected. The production quality was definitely alot better than I thought it'd be. One of the classes I'm doing in college at the minute is on this period of the Renaissance. I actually did an essay last week on one of the characters in that video, Rodrigo Borgia, and his family as a whole. They were seriously f*cked up, in fact that whole period of time was pretty f*cked up, perfect setting for a game.
SIKKS66
Hah yeah, I studied Renaissance literature last year too. A time when Venice was pretty much the most powerful state in Europe (and in turn, probably the world). I'm expecting a lot of excess, decadence and violence in Venice
Rebel
This game could not come soon enough, already got my pre order ready and hopefully it wont be affected by any strikes RM might have in store. Until the 20th I'll be trying to keep the excitement away by playing Band Hero, and getting a lot of achievements that I've missed on other games of mine. 1ManArmy
I'm getting both AS2 and MW2. And they're coming out at the same time. HOLY SMOKES I GOTTA SPLIT MY SELF TO TWO TO PLAY BOTH GAMES!!! Damn the lineage really looked like a real multi million dollar movie. They should make a movie of it. I'm serious.
papanesta
Actually, as far as I remember, Assassin's Creed comes out 11 days after MW2.
1ManArmy
Actually, as far as I remember, Assassin's Creed comes out 11 days after MW2. I know that, but they're both in such short periods i'd have to rush mw2 then go to AS2.
SIKKS66
Hah I'm tempted to miss the mad rush for MW2 and get this instead a week or so later tbh.
Rebel
From what I remember as well like Pap said, MW2 comes out on the 10th Nov, and AC2 comes out the 20th so yeah they are quite tight. But if you get MW2 first you'll get some playing time to at least complete the storyline and some online play before AC2 is out.
1ManArmy
I know, but what I mean is that by having both games with MW2 still relatively new. I'd be torn apart debating which game to play. I didn't think about how i'm gonna get both though...
Rebel
Don't know if this has been posted yet, but apparently these are the achievements you can get for the 360. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/as...2/achievements/
SIKKS66
Ah sh*t, I read them the other day but forgot to check if they were on here. for $RebelG Seems to be quite a lot of achievements eh?
Rebel
Yeah they seem like a lot, although seems like you'd unlock quite a few by just going through the storyline. Although the achievements that involve the 'Stronghold' seem really interesting as I didn't know you'd have like well I presume it would be something like a safe house? SIKKS66
Yeah they seem like a lot, although seems like you'd unlock quite a few by just going through the storyline. Although the achievements that involve the 'Stronghold' seem really interesting as I didn't know you'd have like well I presume it would be something like a safe house? Yeah apparently Ezio inherits a villa that becomes his getaway. Except it's not just one building, it's like a little town that you can upgrade as you progress through the story. May be spoilers here... We already know that Ezio travels from Florence, to Venice, Rome, Tuscany, and various locations in the Italian countryside. Ezio can travel by horse, or steer a gondola in Venice, or to save time he can hire transportation and fast travel to locations on the map. Eventually his exploits take him to the Villa Auditore in Monteriggioni which was built by his great-grandfather. In these times a villa of this size wasn't just a home in the countryside, it was an entire walled city complete with its own populace and economy. Unfortunately, Ezio's villa starts off in ruin and it's up to him to restore it to glory. By investing the money he collects in the villa, Ezio is able to rebuild and improve a Blacksmith, Taylor, Brothel, Doctor, Barracks, Bank, Art Merchant, Church, Mines, Wells, and Thieves Guild. As elements of the town improve, its inhabitants go from peasants to upper class citizens and they start to bring in tax money. Ezio can return to the town treasurer from time to time to collect these earnings. He can also reap the benefits of improved shops and services. For example, an upgraded blacksmith gives players a discount on weapons purchased there and upgrading the wells allows Ezio access to an underground aqueduct with hidden treasures. The villa becomes a playground of sorts with a fighting ring that allows Ezio to practice advanced combat like counter kills and disarms. Here he can also purchase training to upgrade his abilities. There are also numerous hidden areas that become accessible as the game progresses and buildings are upgraded. Inside the main house there is a trophy room that displays items Ezio has collected, earned, or stolen along with a gallery to hang precious works of art. The most intriguing part of the trophy room is a secret entrance that leads down to a vault filled with statues dedicated to famous past assassins. Among the statues I recognized garb that resembles Genghis Khan's attire and a special statue dedicated to Altair. Let the speculation begin on where the next installment of Assassin's Creed will take us. Full article. Sounds very awesome IMO.

SIKKS66
Heh, you won't believe how much I want this game now. I've even gone back to playing the original Assassin's Creed in all it's tedious glory.

1ManArmy
Is it me, or am I the only one who's not impressed with the gameplay video? The action didn't really seemed smooth to me, to be honest. Or maybe the narrator was just f*cking it up. I really hope they make it more open and sandbox type though, it'll be f*cking awesome, if you can change your clothes and just explore the detailed, complexed and dense city with all kinds of actitivities going on and interactions. That would be a really f*cking awesome thing for Assasin Creed 2. But for some reason, i've got a feeling the city is gonna be bland and boring and it'll just be like a block of buildings with just people around. Don Garcia
2 little quick tidbits FYI: The first review, from OXM, is a 9/10. I really expected a perfect score. And there are just a little over 3 hours of cutscenes. Whoa.

Well if you've been reading some of the things posted in this topic, you'll know that you will be able to buy medical sh*t/better upgrades for weapons and all sorts. Also on the changing clothes part you wont be able to have different outfits (personally I think that would be quite odd having it in) but you will be able to change the colours of said cape and things if I remember right. Also for the free roaming thing I think there will be a lot more to see as the developers mentioned there will be people on the streets who will act in a certain way and such, just like you see in busy areas in real life. You've always been able to explore the areas anyway even in the first AC, so obviously you'll still be able to do that. As for the city looking boring, I personally think its going to be looking really good. I mean, I know Don posted the short video with the story and I think he also said a lot of the shots within that video are actually from in game and they just had a lot of the actors standing in front of those green wall things.
