Minic
I'm stuck on the Flying Machine mission. Tips? Make sure you follow the fires in order, i made the mistake of thinking i'd reach a fire in time and then crashing right near it loads, so follow them and it should take you straight to the target, you'll hit a checkpoint for once you're done with the machine incase you end up messing up the next part too, whcih i did once. Waddy
Im about 45% of the way in and loving it. Its such a massive change from the first game. The one thing that is annoying me is those big stupid guards. One on one I can deal with them but when you are in a group fight with like 6 guards they keep twatting you and the moves dont always work on them. What do you all do to fight them? Rebel
I've found that fighting them using the hidden blades work best, since you just have to time the counter attack right and 9 times out of 10 you'll kill them.

I always just ran from the big guards but when I learned disarming was a good way I've never had a problem with them. Plus you get to watch the cool disarm and kill animation
LCstuntman
Love this game, just finished the part where you have to go into that tomb to eavesdrop on a meet. Best mission yet.
GTA3Freak-2001
I bought the game with the original so I've been playing both on and off and it really makes clear how much they improved the sequel, what really shows is the variation on different moves using different weapons. I've been wowed many times after seeing a new kill move, latest one was using the dual hidden blades where Ezio litrally stabs the guard in both eyes, talk about brutal! One thing that bothers me is the fact that Assassin's Creed II graphically isn't as pretty as the first game, I am playing the sequel on the PS3 and the original on 360 so maybe that's it. AC2 just looks a bit more drab and dull for some reason and the lighting isn't as crisp, the frame-rate is a bit iffy sometimes too.

My favourite finishing move is when Ezio just rapidly stabs a guy in the stomach about 5/10 times, it looks so cool and i finally did the double assassination with the dual blades where Ezio stands inbetween 2 guys and just stabs them both in the sid eof the neck, it looks so awesome. The kills in the game are so awesome.
Matty
I got Assassins Creed 2 a few months ago and I loved it! It is a MASSIVE improvement as sequal, exactly what a sequal should be like. I like the fact that the missions aren't generic like they were in the first as well as the many different and more weapons (the wrist pistol is awesome) that you can use. I also like that you can pick up weapons from fallen rivals too and the currancy system. It also looks very realistic, probably some of the best graphics in a game that I've seen. However, I did find that the game was a little short for my liking and in some cases, a little too easy; esspesurally when you get your second hidden blade (as you can just basically walk up to a group of four guards, and kill them in under four secconds), I was really expecting a little more of a challange from the storyline missions. Another thing that I liked is that it is more in-deph with Desmand. I quite enjoyed the parts where you have to fight the "Modern Day" Templars--definently something they could look more into for in the third Assassins Creed game. Also I liked that the cutscenes weren't long and boring and the many different ways that you could assassinate people, i.e; pulling someone down from a rooftop whilst climbing. Basically, they need to make the storyline missions more challanging and go more in-deph with Desmand in the next Assassins Creed game and it would be perfect. papanesta
Jumping back further up the page, the worst is when the big guards disarm you... especially if you have Altair's sword. Need to go aaall the way back to the mansion to get it.

Benjie
I'm currently working on getting all the feathers, then I just need to finish the last 3 or so sequences and do the cape one. It is way better than the first in my opinion. By the way, does anyone know how to obtain the Altair armor unlocked through Uplay?
papanesta
It's in the same section as where you change capes, under "Outfits", if I remember right...

AZAZEL
I'm taking some time off the main storyline, doing the assassination missions in Firenze. I've done six so far, and I've reached the one where you have to kill 10 heavily armoured guards in one minute. I just can't seem to do it. I think the most I've managed to kill was five or so. Any tips?
Rebel
I haven't done it so far so I don't know the mission but have you gone around using your hidden blades? 99% of the time when you get caught in a big fight when you counter Ezio kills them on it so it might buy you some time. Try using smoke bombs as well if you get them into a group, they all start to cough and what not and you just use your hidden blade on them. I did try that, but they just spread them out so much that I couldn't possibly make it around to all of them. Thanks for your tips, too, Rebel. I got some smoke bombs now, so I'll try using those. Charging in doing a double-blade assassination, and then lobbing a smoke bomb should give me time enough to finish three more off. Just need to figure out how I want to take care of the remaining five. Edited January 9, 2010 by Azazel
nlitement
Does anybody here have an idea what the price will be in MSP? 400 or 500 for each? Because I have 800 now and am thinking of getting Symphony of the Night instead then buy the DLCs when they come out.
Seddo
I think they were priced at 560MSP each, not sure what that comes up to in PS3 money.

I had trouble with that as well but in the end I did it by following the group that patrol the bridge and picking off two or four by getting between two of them and double blading them. You should be able to get at least 3 this way before they all attack and then its simply disarming the rest, using their weapon on them then repeat for the rest. RMT
Help with the last mission please: How do I purposely fail this mission and get back to Venice? I forgot to stock up before leaving for Rome and I've got f*ck all aid packs and smoke bombs so I'm getting my arse kicked all over the place and I can't heal. EDIT: I looted some killed guards and got a sh*t load of medical packs, so I'm now all good EDIT 2: Completed and wow. What an ending. EDIT 3: Messer Sandman achievement is impossible for me.
