Lurch
Sounds like you guys (sweden) are pretty much getting raped on everything as far as prices go, especially new cars. Strike that, swedish currency isn't worth sh*t. And as far as pricing a Muscle Car, you can't just clasify them as "regular" or "nice." Specific engines and option codes are going to go for way more than a normal identical looking small block car sitting next to them. Also, I'd bet money that most of those special engined cars are sitting here in the States, not Sweden. You guys having tons of basic-engined yank tanks doesn't mean sh*t, frankly. Your right about Specific engines and option codes being priced Higher than a less rare or base like an 1971 SS 454 LS-6 option will cost more than one with a 350 small block and an automatic transmition. Well you don't judge a car just based on its performance too. My right leg goes numb after 3 hour trips in that thing, and the dash is all WW2 oldschool. True, although I'd just get a 340 or 440 hemi and drop it into it, I don't care much for matching numbers. Saw a 1970 440 go for 1200$ in a ad the other day. I also rounded of the exchange rate from 7 kr to the dollar to 5kr to the dollar to make it easier to calculate, which might explain the price a bit. So a new 09 Camaro SS is 50.000 to be exact, which is about the price of a mint condition, right years and motors mopar. Edited August 27, 2009 by Damien. Slamman
AMERICAN CARS, I just am fond of them to no end, well, not ALL and clearly like modcrn music, modern cars lack true vision and excitement...they are cookie cutter bland. Most foreign cars are also suffering this. I saw an ad for the new Ford SHO, looks the same as the original design, a stretched out VW Beetle... Round on all sides, nothing notable in it's design. There's no way it will inspire me, not like the Dodge Charger. I'm seeing a few of the new Camaros on the road, they'd be fun to drive, and the Dodge Challenger is awesome. New Mustang is snazzy. It's partly that retro design inspiring the basis. Outside of those, Luxury along with the performance angle, clearly the EXOTICs and Rolls Royces and Bentleys. Only the best BMWs I really like and Mercedes

Theres a difference there, the barina actually is sh*t, the VP isn't, that was just -slash's opinion. I myself find it to be a very nice car, which is MY opinion, but it can be made even better by modding, which is what most people do with it, much the same as a 240sx, for example. People here still cant realize this topics about what everyones favourite car is, not how stupid someones opinion is because they dont agree with it. Exactly, why get mad when he states his opinion that its sh*t. You obviously dont think so, but you get all hurt because he disagrees. In all reality its not a big deal at all, diffferences in opinions is what makes the world turn.
-slash
OK guys, I would just like to formally apologise to the guy who smashed his keyboard with his head (much in the same way his mother would have smashed him in the head with a brick as a small child) to come up with a username, and offer a picture of this premium example of a VP in order to seek his forgiveness. Perhaps one day I may own such a fine example of Australian engineering. (or should we really be giving the credit to the Europeans who Holden bought the design off? I'm not sure) I hope this ends this dark chapter in vehicle chat history.
