bldrgnslyr
Nothing flash, but a Holden Commodore VP. You can pick up one of these for bugger all, then mod and customise it to your hearts consent. Designed and built in Australia, too.

Do keep in mind that its from from the early 90's, and i could probably guess everyone you know as a "Commodore lover" only "love" the most recent model. Where would these new models be today without progression in the series, hmm? And "Commodores are bad enough as it is". Your're obviously either a Ford or import fanboy so don't try and start a war over Holden and Ford/imports, for god's sake. AND, this topic, "What is your fav car?", means what is YOUR favourite car, not everyone elses, thankyou. Also, judging by your sig, you only like fully sick modded imports which you only see inside magazines and wish that you could own. bldrgnslyr
Yeah, in magazines, in his driveway, it's all the same really. Fine, he owns it, which is great, even though that was probably the most sarcastic part of my post. He was still out of line with the rest of the sh*t he said. Plus I would hardly say "owned", I had perfectly good rebuttals to his blatant, immature claims. Good day. dog_day_sunrise
Stuff I will say what I always have about modifying/VIPing/customising cars. Modding a good car well can make a great car, but no matter how hard you try, you can't polish a turd.

Starion
If you cant afford to insure an ae86, you probably can't afford to insure an e36 M3. The evo's are insurance group 18, am I right? mod it with Nitrous Oxide and chassis dyno.

Benzoboy
Actually the one you posted was an M3, it has the BMW M-Sport rims, and if you look closely at the side rub-strip, you can see the '///M' badge. E36 316is are cool cars though, good choice, my man. EDIT: Also, to my knowledge, Lancer Evolutions are Group 20.
Starion
Nope, that's a genuine m3. You couldn't even get a 316i in that Techno Violet I dont think. But a 316i is probably just insurable, I'd love to get an e30 or e36 as a first car. @ Benzoboy, I meant an Evolution m3, not a Lancer. mod it with Nitrous Oxide and chassis dyno. One that I could afford to buy, but not insure or fuel is this... The Rover P6 3500 V8, one of my favourite cars, and one I aim to own in the future. One that I can't do anything for. The only way to get a resonaly priced old school muscle car is to buy one that's not a highly sought after model, ora model after around 1975 during the gas crunch era and some times you can get a cheap price on a muscle car at a no reserve auction. Also, judging by your sig, you only like fully sick modded imports which you only see inside magazines and wish that you could own. I think most of what I could reply with has been said by my comrades (much love guys ) however there are a few things I can add. I'm a member of my state's Commodore club. Alot of my friends own Commodores and so I joined. I can appreciate a nice Commodore any day of the week. That said, it's also fun to cain them a bit for been pushrod dinosaurs driving around in Opel wannabe outdated boats. Just like I cop it for been a rice burner. My parents have always owned Commodores, so I've grown up with them. I own a Nissan Silvia, and a Ford ute, I own the Silvia for a purpose and I own the ute for a purpose. The friends of mine who are "Commodore lovers" and apparently only like new Commodores own, in order of age: 1983 VH (350 Chev fitted) 1987 VL Turbo 1990 VN SS Supercharged 1990 VN SS 1991 VN SS 1994 VR SS 2001 VU SS Ute 2002 VU SS Ute 2007 VE SS Ute That's just the guys and girls from the club who I regularly hang with, there's another 40 members with their Commodores, and at the end of all that it's a complete catalogue of Commodores from the first VB through to Brocks and Walkinshaws, f*ck there's even a VE Grange and a W427 in there, but guess what model is owned by not a single person in the club? The mighty VP. So yeah, I wasn't just been a fanboy, I think my credentials are pretty clear. I don't care what flag a car flies under, if it's rubbish it's rubbish. A turd is a turd. And like someone said, you can't polish a turd. If you want to take your Buick V6 powered rust bucket and whack a V8 5.0L badge on it and some fully sick subs and tyre shop rims then that's your choice I guess, but when people look at you when you drive by, it's not because they think you're hectic, it's because you've proved beyond all doubt you're a tool. Here where i live (In Sweden) we have a long history of American car culture. The rockabilly culture never really died here and was accutally at it's strongest some time around the 70's and kinda involved into it's own thing. There is actually MORE restored American 50's car's in Sweden than the USA (source), and I'm pretty sure same goes for muscle cars. The street racing scene is also quite big here with events like Birka cup and Stockholm open (search for it on youtube) and I'd say 80% are Mopars or Camaros. So no ricers So naturally we have pretty low prices, especially now that the economy is failing so badly. A regular 68-71 mopar goes for about $20.000 and a nice one for about $45.000, which isn't much compared to the $60.000 price tag on the 09 Camaro or for the $80.000 08/09 challenger.
