The Aventador looks a bit like it, but what do you expect seen as it's based on the same floorpan. The Gallardo looks completely different in every measurable way. Maybe he is thinking about the Reventon? There is no hiding the fact that they used that car as their primary design study focus on all models post 2008. Just a quick look at the Aventador, Gallardo, and even the outgoing Murcielago will prove this. But that kind of practice is not limited to Lambo. Every company does this. Thats what happens. Every automaker does this.
AndrefromEstonia
Every carmaker makes their car models look alike some how. I mean, every model has similar distinctive features. BMW has the grill, Ford has it's kinetic design...all the models are similar. Also Lamborginis. Gallardo is a small Muricelago wich has been stretched in some places, like headlights and the rear design. Newer Lambos will look like Reventon...i mean look ath the Aventador, basically the same car.
sivispacem
i mean look ath the Aventador, basically the same car. I personally think the Aventador looks like a cross between the Reventon and a Noble M600. The only real thing that it's inherited from the Sesto Elemento concept and the Reventon is the use of triangles in the body panels. Basically, to me, it looks like Noble M600 fitted with Radar Absorbent Material. That seems to be Lamborghini's modus operandi at the moment- take another manufacturers basic design, and make it triangular. For instance, the Sesto Elemento concept is proportioned more like an R8 than it is the Gallardo that it's actually based on- more flowing, less height at the rear and a more swooping roof-line. anus
I don't really see any innovation in today's cars in terms of design. Everything looks the same for the most part, with some minor changes here and there. I mean look at Audi, all of their cars are almost identical to each other, yet they sell a lot. Oh and the whole curvy design thing going around is getting retarded. I think we're gonna end up with vehicles that are pretty much a ball with wheels at the rate we're going. Kevin...
Oh and the whole curvy design thing going around is getting retarded. But you have just as many people saying the same thing about straight-lined and edgy designs, like Cadillac.
anus
To be perfectly honest, the straight lined designs are more appealing to me (much more appealing actually) coz there aren't many brands doing it. The curvy thing is like a bandwagon everyone's jumping on.

I would first say, Audis are all very beautiful and handsome. Very good quality also. Then i would say that curvy cars are actually not that common anymore, the design is heading to edgy designs again. Look at the Lamborghinis and the E class Merc. Lurch
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. I saw an E23 733i with a 5 speed at the junkyard here recently. Good lord, how I want one. A full on luxo-limo with a stick shift? Yes, yes, yes! Would be the perfect high speed cruiser/DD. When my E28 starts progessing into sportier, stiffer, less comfortable type of car, I'd like to get one for DD duty. A 733i with the M30B32 and G265/6 5 speed, with my E28's 3.25 LSD and 16" style 4's with some old M motorsport centercaps (ala Alpina look) would make for the perfect E23 (bar a 745 turbo). Ideal realistic garage right now would be - A 5 speed 733i for DD duty and long trips. Nearly stock aside from Euro bumpers and lights, some E38 Style 4's and a 3.25 LSD rear end. Maybe throw an E30 spoiler on the back. - My E28 535i for weekend drives, cruises, shows, etc. With a possible B35 swap, lowered, staggered E31 17" Style 5's. 3.73 LSD. Euro bumpers and lights, M tech rear spoiler. A few other nick nacks done here. - A stripped out E30 325is coupe for AutoX duty and weekend drives. Maybe the occasional track weekend. Who knows what done to it. 4.10's and a 5 lug conversion for sure. Possibly some E38 M sport package 2 piece staggered 18" style 5's on it. Or 17's. 80's BMW's blend classic looks with fairly modern tech so they're pretty much the cats meow for me. Massively specced with everything you could want and anything you couldn't. The ultimate Siebener and an M7 in all but name. I'd eat out Camilla Parker Bowles for one. The SA 745i with the 5 speed sounds nice. 3.45 lsd rear end and the close ratio g262 dogleg box. No OD though. But with the M88's rev-happyness, it probably doesn't need high gearing. Wheels sound nice as well. A European 745i with the turboed M30 and a g265 5 speed would probably make me happy enough though. At least once I got used to massive turbo lag. And be much more attainable.
