But for some reason when I shoot the pilot, no matter how low the heli is, as soon as it touches even a twig on the ground it goes *boom*. I have almost succeeded twice. First time I got shot before I could get in, and the second time the damned tail snapped off when it hit the ground But yeah, usually it just explodes. Good work Pere. ahh, good so i did not waste my money buying a copy for my bro and i'll be playing much more again, hopefully the people who deserted the game will come back also if they have not sold the game because of this sham, sounds promising thou i still think it will be nesasary to have anticheat updates regular thou else they will just keep finding a way to destroy multiplayer, possibly the most fun i have ever had on a multiplayer game when no one is cheating, and when there is no brain dead crashers you know the ones that just go around the wrong way to purposely crash into others but that is just an irritant, nothing huge like all out wrecking the game. yesterday when someone spawned into a race on foot with machine gun rpg thou, i was on and so was my bro, my bruvs pc froze, his specs are not as good as mine and he had to press reset which is never a good thing to do on a pc so they are causing damage to peoples pc's, i just stopped driving & reported the abuser through winlive and told the moron to get a life hehe. i have respect for modders who enhance games when a game is past its best but not really for trainer makers especially using them on competitive multiplayer, it just wipes the fun out of the game, i cannot see the funny side of it at all. I'm rose to Rank 4 (or 5?) and all I had were a handful of hairs and beards the last two promotions. C'mon! Where is the incentive to keep playing!? um to have fun playing against other skilled players, that is all its about for me anyway but on the races it would be awesome if they introduce a race editor, already a bit bored with a couple of the tracks, even a special new 1 where you have to use running, boats, cars, and helicopters, kind of an ironman race where all vehicles are at the end of each part of the race segment, would be very cool. I've always thought Charge Island is a great place for a race, as the road is technically a loop, and the corners are pretty challenging as well. It can be real fun when someone with spawn capability throws in a bunch of skatepark ramps & spawns fast cars. I can do jumps & stunts for hours around the airport with the courses people make. He accused me of using some kind of aiming mod. I got one lucky shot and now I'm accused of cheating. It is pretty pathetic because I'm just an average player at best. I've also seen other players I've played with before who are just very good accused of cheating also. I played with them and they usually kill me 10-1, but it's just because they're good. I'm not saying there aren't cheaters, cause I've seen many of them. I handle them in several different ways. Sometimes I just ignore them and go on trying to stay away from them. Or I might get an RPG and keep blowing them all over the map. They usually can't die, but they can still be hit and fly around. In 1 game I just kept running over the cheater. He always eventually kills me but I keep trying. On the other hand I love seeing the cheaters in the races. I love the random things they spawn. I've seen some great jumps spawned at certain spots to throw the game into chaos. People get so mad instead of trying to use the stuff to their advantage. I'm not too good at racing, but it seems like everyone sort of gives up giving me the opportunity to win. Plus it's totally hilarious watching everyone getting sooooooooo pissed. And if its cheaters killing the player base then it should stop. Plus in ranked matches its not fair to have cheaters, it makes ranked games pointless. Imagine killing in a DM match, then getting killed, and running back to the battle after respawning again and again. It drives me nuts! The races offer little consolation either, because I'm more likely to come out empty handed in ranked or unranked races. This is just the lazy console port (which is a very cheap, slow working and annoying system). If there would be dedicated servers you could actually play against 50 people or so. On top of that, you could have stable servers (meaning servers located in the USA/Europe/...) so players don't experience the annoying lag that much. Even the whole GFWL thingy ruined it for me. I mean, it's just a useless program that is forced down our throats to make the PC look more like MS great Xbox360 thingy. Still, the online part of GTAIV is fun for a while... but only when you're playing against normal people. Alot of asshats/morons out there. Not sure about the others, but there's always at least 2 noose games going on at any time I've ever looked. I know I played them a lot. Are you looking in the custom menu? Did you try the other way too and wait for others if there's no one there when you start? On the weekends there's about 3-6 going on at any time I ever checked. I try playing with the same people as much as possible and the game always puts me in a different room and I have to find my friends so I know there's a lot of people playing. I like it in free mode cos i dont abuse people and sh*t, i give spawned cars to friends change their colors for them i turn on god mode anyway cos nobody is fighting and ff is off, and if some douch comes in trying to f*ck things up i get a chopper make it invincible and clean him up with the blades just to make a point about griefing. One of the four items is "ban user" select that. you now have casted your vote to have the dude removed from the server. If no one votes, then they are all just as stupid as you are. If you tell them all to make the vote, and they still don't, but still cry about it then change servers. it's all you can do. So you newbs STFU about a resolved issue. although you are correct it has to be the most clumsy and ill thought out gui for reporting cheaters and kicking them. the fact that the cheaters are allowed into a server at all is inexcusable for a professionally programmed online multiplayer, giving a report option and a clumsy vote kick of sorts is not enough, the multiplayer was a half arsed attempt and ignored all previous models of successful multiplayer games. they need to learn pc's are not consoles and therefore multiplayer needs to be treated differently - which is what they haven't seem to of grasped quite yet. I would say after 20 attempts to join battle field, only 2 games let me on. I hate clumsy software like that. The whole option to kick them is the best freedom from any buggy A.I kick. That way if we want to play a game with cheats, we can. I do not cheat, but I don't think it should be forced away from the game. I mean if you can tolerate cheating then don't kick a person. So you newbs STFU about a resolved issue. i do report them and vote kick them, but only when i know who is messing the game up, it would be wrong to do otherwise, sometimes it is completely obvious who is cheating but most of the time i have no idea particulary with the spawners in races same with other players, it could even be someone who joined during the race & are waiting for the next race. and sometimes you do not get a chance to report them because they can make the game crash by spawning too much crap into the game. and what does rtfm stand for? is it report them f'ing maggots by the way newbs do report problems or they will not go away and future patches would not address problems we are experiencing since the rumor wrether its true or not i believe it has to be true with the way it has messed up mp about the next patch sorting this cheat problem out, i have noticed a bit less cheating but not many games to play as most legit gamers have dumped this game until it is fixed, i bet console players don't have this problem and they would have paid a hell of a lot less for their system.
