It's good you bumped it. This concept deserves to be on the first page for new members to see.

I'd have to describe it as the bookmark for all of the other threads. If you want to have the best concept thread on the forum, then it has to be superior to this one.

This is probably a wildly inappropriate mega bump, but after picking up GTA: San Andreas again on my phone I remembered about this thread. I would like to confirm I am still alive, I noticed that was a hotly debated topic about five years ago, lol. You guys really ought to get back into NEXT concepts on here, perhaps this bump will be inspiration. Forgive the terrible colored text, not sure why I did that.

 

BTW: I actually did pick up and play GTA V on the day of release. I enjoyed it, but found the story and map to be somewhat lacking. In hindsight I really wish I would have picked up GTA: Online when it came out and renewed my XBL subscription.

This thread probably needs to be moved to the new GTA: Next, unless this is the new forum for concept threads. I see there is at least two small concept threads within this sub forum, so this may have been moved to the right place.

The home for concepts changed from GTA: Next to its own that I think was just called Concepts a few years back. Just over a year ago it was merged with the GTA Series subforum as a whole due to a lack of feedback in its dedicated section. As of now, GTA: Next is purely for discussion threads on the next GTA game while this section is for discussing the series as a whole, as well as posting concepts like Lincoln State. There are currently a few concepts that are in the works: mine, which I update as often as possible, GTA VIce and Liberty City 1978, both made by Tyla who has been MIA for nearly a year, and GTA Seventy-Six, which was just recently made up and running. Likewise, just yesterday MOB finished up his Family Ties concept that first broke ground just a few months after you last posted on the forum. The section's overall enthusiasm for concepts seems to have dwindled over the years, but we've still got quite a few dedicated readers.

 

Hope you're here to stay this time. Feel free to drop a line on my topic if you want, I'll take as much feedback from a vet that I can take.

Haha, I might stick around and see what new concepts are around these days. ill start with the ones you listed. As for this concept, a lot has changed in the last seven years, reality is now stranger than fiction. I might redo the storyline for Lincoln state to reflect on the outrageous reality that is 2017 America.

Any more than one or two cities and the game would suffer from the same illness that the 3 protagonist fiasco caused.

 

More isn't better. The time it would take rockstar to make that amount of cities we could probably have 3 or 4 separate games.

Multiple protagonists can't at all be compared to multiple cities especially when we have already seen multiple cities be done successfully alongside a solid and lengthy storyline.

I have decided I will dig this concept up from it's grave to make the following updates:

-A new map, seeing as the old one has been lost into the void of the internet.

-Change the setting from 2004 to 2020, parodying the already comical present day situation of American politics; with some minor and major story changes

-Organise the OP and make it easier to read

-Maybe more to come, but don't hold your breath, I am much busier of a man than I was in 2009.

I gave this a reading after 7 or so years. A lot of good ideas but still very hard to read with the colored text and poor organization. But if you got the patience for it, have at it.
