If you are actually not familiar with this show. Heres the run down in about a minute and a half.

Here is a short clip from the classic 'Manos: The Hands of Fate' episode.

So basically who here loves this show? Who has seen some of the creators side projects like Rifftrax, Cinematic Titanic and The Film Crew? What are your favorite characters, episodes and moments? Here are my top 5.

1. Space Mutiny

2. Prince of Space

3. Mitchell

4. Hobgoblins

5. Teenage Strangler

Next to South Park, my all time favorite show. By far the funniest show I've ever had the pleasure of viewing.

The Soultakers episode is a classic. They tore that movie apart, brought back TV's Frank and Joel returned for a bit. Plus he was in the same room on the Satellite of Love with Mike and of course the bots. That was awesome seeing the two of them together.

Here's a clip from the Space Mutiny episode: The many names of David Ryder.

The final moment of the clip is classic.

I remember watching this as a kid, I recently started watching it again (on youtube.) My brother told me he heard a DVD was coming out but I'm not sure if he's correct but if he is I'm getting that sh*t.

I know Rhino has DVD collections of MST3K as I have a couple of them. MST3K DVDs

Yeah, gotta support the homeboys. I used to watch this religiously in the 90's. One of my greatest thrills back then was standing in line at a local ice cream shop behind Trace and Frank. I recognized Frank first and all I could think to say was "push the button, Frank". They were pretty cool. Maybe we need a Joel vs Mike poll?

You know, I actually like them both equally. They both bring something different to the table.

As for the DVD's I have volumes 4,7,8,10 and the 20th anniversary set put out by Shout Factory thats got a 3 part documentary and the reunion panel at Comic Con. Good stuff.

I wish they sold the DVDs around here. I'd buy 'em in a heartbeat. I remember when my English teacher put on an episode, and 98% of the class thought it was stupid and didn't get any of the jokes, but my friend and I are huge fans and we just laughed our asses off. And one of my teachers said she will now call me Rowsdower, after I showed her this:

She could not stop laughing.

And apparently they released a new DVD set last month.

But I'd have to say one of my favorite episodes is that Japanese film Prince of Space. They completely tore that turd of a movie apart, and I laughed my balls off.

"A rare Godzilla free day."

And there's always the legendary inept car chase sequence in Mitchell.

"Y'know they're easy to follow when they use their turn signal."

"Hot merging action."

"These guys couldn't shake a trolley."

"This makes Driving Miss Daisy look like Bullit."

One of the greatest series of all time. Too many great episodes to mention, but Space Mutiny and Prince of Space are definitely some of the best.

I just wish I could have seen MST3K: The Movie when it was in theaters.

I really like Rifftrax, too, especially Jurassic Park with Weird Al, and the Harry Potter ones cool.gif

I watched MST3K: The Movie a few weeks ago and I'm pretty sure it was actually shorter then an average episode. I'm a big fan of the show.

Oddly enough, I can't f*cking stand this stuff. It's like sitting next to some douchebag in the audience who thinks he's hilarious and won't shut up. And two of them are stupid f*cking voiced robots to boot.

Bump:

I just wish I could have seen MST3K: The Movie when it was in theaters.

I think a lot of people wish that. It wasn't in many theaters when it came out cause they spent more time giving that sh*tty Pamela Anderson movie, Barbed Wire more publicity or something like that.

Anyways, I bumped cause fans might want to check out this:

Its set for a July 7th release. inlove.gif I'm so happy they're actually putting Zombie Nightmare in there.

You're just mad because they make fun of Canadians on a regular basis tounge.gif

Two things cancels out what Otter says, for me. The first is the fact that it's usually a sh*tty movie and I wouldn't watch it anyway. And the other thing is the fact that if I were watching this on my own (meaning at home and not at a theater) I would be making these types of jokes anyway.

Anyway, The Final Sacrifice, starring Zap Rowsdower, is probably one of the worst movies I've seen. But it's hard to resist an overweight middle aged Canadian with a hockey mullet and mustache wearing a jean jacket and acid washed jeans, followed by a closet homosexual kid that dresses like Gilligan, and has an obsession with Larry Csonka.

Brilliant show, love this, been watching some of the DVD's recently.

I mean, who wouldn't want a hamlet action figure?

But yes, Space Mutiny is probably the funniest one I've seen yet.

I love bumping really old topics with great news...

MST3K creator Joel Hodgson creates Kickstarter campaign, and reaches $2.2 million goal

Also, the new host will be Jonah Ray from the Nerdist podcast and The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail.

I was so pumped when I heard this new, but then I learned that there would be an all new cast. I am more than ok with a new host but I can't picture Crow and Servo with different voices. Maybe I'll love it anyway. Just a little nervous.

This would be something like the third or fourth new actor for either Crow or Servo.

It's gonna be the 3rd actor for both Crow and Servo. I can probably deal with yet another Crow voice but Kevin Murphy voiced Servo for so long I don't know if I could get used to another person doing the voice.

There's a turkey day marathon going on the official MST3k YouTube channel.

They're currently showing everybody's favorite Canadian super hero in the Final Sacrifice...

Anyone watching (or watched) the new season?

I really like it. The new cast really fits in great, and the spirit of the show lives on. Great terrible movies as well. And the cameos are great.
