JostVice
Was looking forward for this Porsche... loving the old porsches style Good work converting it STM, sadly don't have stock SA to have a ride with it, but I will remember it for next time. Btw, in those screen it looks beautiful, SA GFX? About time for a good vehicle release. These days its full of useless conversions from IV. Suction Testicle Man
Nice model indeed, but I think it is a bit small: Actually, I went for realism with this one. The SA cars are ridiculously large - considering CJ is 6ft tall in game terms, I'd estimate this car is accurate (to ~2 inches) in every dimension to the real thing It used to be as large as the SA cars, but it looked really weird (the wisdom of Stefaan) If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated. leik oh em jeez!
Nice model, but I like 'em a bit newer, like the '80 model.
MindF*ck
oh nice release STM! I never thought I'd see another "new" model from sin5k4 released Your pics seem like you have alittle widescreen error there ... the wheels are actually not round I had that too, but then I switched back to a 4:3 resolution and everything is fine ... well, except for the black bars left and right, but those don't bother me anymore. As for the size, it really looks a bit small. I guess you used your ingame ruler to meassure the size, right? I use that too, but usually I make the vehicles about 10% bigger than the real ones, since not only the cars in SA are oversized, but also the whole world around. It just looks more realistic if you add those 10% Anyways, great release and thanks for sharing Greetz, MF
okei
Looks like the windshield is missing in my game and in case you're wondering, my GTA San Andreas is unmodified apart from this vehicle.
Burner
I think a "holy sh*t" is in order here. Really nice model, and I love to see someone else using textures instead of single colors, so a big for that.
Suction Testicle Man
Thanks MF, yeah I have a 16:10 screen, when I turn off widescreen mode it looks like this. Not much good either I may resize the car if I do another version.. okei, I'm afraid the missing windscreen is a bug I've been unable to fix, but I think it may be due to SA's inability to display alpha maps below a certain value. DexX's gfx mod will fix this, the link is in the readme All credit to Sin, Burner - he's quite the texture-painting master If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated. Dodo-Pilot
"petrolcap" dummy isn't aligned properly. Also, how come windshield appears when lights are turned on, and disappears when they're turned off? Except for those problems (and scale issue), it's beautiful! Carface80
Sweet car! Great Job STM , the quality of work is just well executed. I love those textures and reflection looks very realistic. Edit again: The windscreen is there, the alpha channel appears to be hiding it. Textured windscreen really added some nice touch to the car. I wonder what kind of videocard are you using STM? ATI, Nvidia. Im gettings the same issues and the windscreen issues might have been caused by filtering settings im still playing around with the 3D settings. About the aspect ratio, If anyone (like me) have 16X9 monitor and turned on the widescreen, it looks squished because it seems that Rockstar wants you to have a wider aspect ratio monitor (good luck finding one) either a 1.85:1 or 2.39:1. Unfortunately, that ruins my enjoyment with any mods installed and deceives some modders thinking that their car is not properly scaled. This makes certain cars look shorter on side and narrower on front view or rear view. I download a mod (from smithers) you can play San Andreas on window rather than full screen. With the wide screen is off, now the models looks a lot better with less distortion. Unfortunately it doesn't work with ENB and SAMP. I have no idea how to get a standard aspect ratio on a 16x9 monitor without distorting on full screen mode) Edited March 6, 2009 by bigfoot2003
Cran.
If I'm not mistaken, isn't the 912 the version with the 2.0? Looks nice though, when people can get cars into GTAIV, this should be one of the first! Edited March 6, 2009 by Cran.
Suction Testicle Man
If I'm not mistaken, isn't the 912 the version with the 2.0? Looks nice though, when people can get cars into GTAIV, this should be one of the first! From what I've read the 911S had a modified version of the same 2.0L 6cyl from the 911. The 912 used a 2.0L 4cyl lump from the 356 Thanks bigfoot, I'm running an 8800m GTX Nvidia card. Perhaps we can speak to DexX about fiddling with the widescreen setting... I tried to find a post DexX made about editing the alpha channel's lowest level, but couldn't. There's more info on it in this topic though. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.
MindF*ck
I have no idea how to get a standard aspect ratio on a 16x9 monitor without distorting on full screen mode actually, if you're using a nvidia card, it's quite easy Sorry, the language is german and I'm not sure how everything translates to english In sohrt, you have to go to the NVIDIA System settings panel and there you have to go to something like "change flatscreen scaling" and then you have to mark "no scaling". that way, the 4:3 picture isn't scaled to the whole width of the screen About your supposed to be inablility of SA to draw alphas properly. Well, I'm not sure what you mean there, since for me alphas work perfectly! Just look at my recently released ratrod, the whole rusttexture is completely made with alphas! No problem with the whole transparency spectrum at all ...
