Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
I'm imagining a part 2 although it's unlikely. It was following the plot of DK. So, whoever Mysterion was would have to be escorted like Harvey was. And then be attacked, I guess. Maybe not. Felt like a half-assed parody. Lega_c
If nobody else noticed, the whole mysterion sighting report on the news was a parody on this:

Vanilla Shake
This has got to be the episode with the most "f*cks" in it. I loved the whole The Dark Knight parody, and it even had a little Spider-Man 3 spoof in it during the fight between Mysterion and Professor Chaos, when everybody started to think that Mysterion is dead. SIKKS66
I'm sure that Mysterion is Stan. Couldn't get over the gruff voice that Mysterion and The Coon put on. I liked how they gave Professor Chaos a role too
Jordy.
WHO WAS MYSTERION!?! I CAN'T F*CKING TELL!!! It was alright, gave me a few chuckles, but wasn't as memorable as the last episode.
DeeperRed
@DeeperRed: What episode hasn't been a parody of a film or TV show? A lot of the older series They were mostly political and soical satire, not straight parodies of films. Ladder to heaven is a perfect example of this, is play of the ideas of country pride, people making money off disasters and the PSP. All done subtly which is great. These new episodes have been straight parodies with very little subtly
Effy in Chains
That was a pretty hilarious spoof episode, Cartman was perfect as The Coon, especially his lines at the ending which where brilliant. I was angry that the identity of Mysterion was kept a mystery to us, but it'll all be fine if we find it out in next week's episode. I reckon it's Kyle, that damn sly jew always trying to ruin Cartman's plans. Edited March 19, 2009 by Kalasinn
Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
But Mysterion went into Kyle's room, to ask him to be his, Alfred you could say. So, no.
Jordy.
I thought it was Clyde. Ever since I saw him sleeping, I figured he was tired because he was out all night as Mysterion.

VCRules86
I love how last night's episode parodied the new trend in superhero movies of giving the heroes a gruff and raspy voice, thought it was hilarious. Superheros shouldn't sound like hardened criminals
SIKKS66
I thought it was Clyde. Ever since I saw him sleeping, I figured he was tired because he was out all night as Mysterion. I was thinking that too for the same reason but doesn't Cartman say at the end "I knew it was you! Didn't I say?" or something along those lines. Cartman suggested throughout the episode it was either Stan, Kenny (who he says is too poor), Kyle (who it isn't for the reason already mentioed) or Craig. And I think Craig's voice is too high pitched for him to get it that low. Mighta forgot someone/got one of the above wrong. Rebel
I watched it online yesterday. I have to say it gave me a good chuckle throughout. Especially at the end with what Cartman said about him being the Coon. I loved the parody to Batman too. Although I don't get why everyone's still wondering who it was. I just thought it was Craig myself. Looking forward to the next episode. Oh and also loved the first one as well with the mouse.
Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
Surprised no one has mentioned how f*cked up a super-hero name The Coon is. Ya know, with 'coon' being a racial slur for black people. Especially considering the final line of the episode, the one along the lines of, "Every city...needs a coon." I took that as a final racist joke.

Neal40000
meh watched it on wednesday, it was ok.. just like the ring. with a few funny parts that was it. it just seems like they arent really making them because they have an awesome idea, but they are being paid to come up with ideas (i know they actually are) but it just seems so "lets come up with something funny to go in this part". SIKKS66
Well you can't really get mad at Matt and Trey if they've lost some steam after this long a run. Don't really think they've lost any steam. SP tries to keep topical and they're probably waiting for something to happy that they can write around and make funny. I thought the "'Coon" name was going to be something racist when I first saw it and it was pretty smart how they never actually explored this double meaning. The final line was more of a double entendre imo. zeppelincheetah
I was really dissapointed in season 12. the only really good ep was "Super Fun Time". I thought "the Coon" was kinda boring with very few good moments while "the Ring" was pretty funny IMO. The new one sounds okay I'll watch it as soon as they upload it to Southparkstudios.com . This season is shaping up alright, so let's see if they can keep it up They set the bar pretty high for themselves with Imagination Land, so I wasn't surprised when season 12 sucked (I just assume most of it did suck since I stopped watching after 3 episodes). I need to follow up on 13 to see if they've picked up speed, especially with a new Randy episode. Randy is the proverbial dad of American family quirks. On a side note, does anyone know which episode Randy keeps taking off his shirt and getting in fights at Stan's baseball games? That's one of my favorites and I can't even remember what it's called.
