GamerShotgun Posted February 26, 2009 Share Posted February 26, 2009 (edited) On the average day I'd join a game and see flying ships, cars raining down from underneath helicopters, rows of Vehicles in random places (like 50), and of course the machine guns that fire rockets. Then you have some kids in the game who don't look like they're hacking but when I spray them with 50 rockets from my SMG and they don't die, I realize they have god mode on. Touché! My friend, that's because you are a jackass cheater... you deserve it And just to let you know, there's a big difference in having fun with Single Player modifications, and f*cking up other people's online experience. But I guess you are just too stupid to understand that Multiplayer is multiplayer, because not only you want to have fun with GTA IV, while playing with other people. I seriously hope that Microsoft and Rockstar will do something, or implements an in-game banning system... Or well, modifiable at a certain extent (just the appearance can be changed: skin mods/models/...). But hey, they rushed the PC release (although it took them more than 1 year to deliver a crappy port), don't care that the game runs like sh*t (alot of people have more than decent computers and can't run the game decently... and I'm one of them). Yes the game is fun... but the whole story/gameplay factor is something different than the joy of being able to run it smoothly/with decent quality. People shouldn't expect GTA online to be cheat/mod free, because that's why so many people get GTA on PC and people will do anything to be able to use those mods/cheats online. Just because "so many people use them" doesn't mean that they should be allowed. They're probably a high percentage because the non-modders got bored of multiplayer. I have a strict moral code of not cheating in ranked matches and anything thats not Free mode. I dont like to make my vehicles invincible unless me and my friends are dragging and i only go invincible in games when people are pissing me off or im stunting. I spawn cars for my friends and give them backup from douchebags who then bitch and moan at me for modding but i never attack first. Uhm, I didn't mention that there could be cheating servers, because letting cheaters to play with non-cheaters will always make problems... no matter what they are doing in a multiplayer game. Theres a clear difference between what you can do and what your allowed to in which case modifying a games original content and distributing it isn't even legal. Granted trainers are not in this rule because they are stand alone in most cases. Theres alot of people that buy games just to play online and some of you idiots just ruin it for them and make them pissy at all the modders. I do mod but only in freeroam because genuinly thats the only area that it should even be accepted. But you f*cks are saying you go into deathmatch and racing just to piss people off? I say for rockstar to give us dedicated servers and if they dont then go ahead and give us punkbuster because this is not only retarded for the pc gaming community, and we claim so much that we are "less primitive" then the xbox and playstation fanboys, it also damages Rockstar's Rep when you have to tell all your friends that Multiplayer for the game is sh*t. One question: when you have ruined the game for all players, who have actually grown a pair and do not use cheats, to the point that they´ve stopped playing. How fun will your MP experience be then? I mean DM´s, TDM´s in which noone can die, Races that are over before they are even run with a winner announced (because of a cheat) and all other crap that turns ppl like you on ... ... I for one DO NOT see the point I hate ppl that take pleasure in ruining this otherwise fine game for others and i hate R* for letting them. As I pointed out to you before, there are other people, who also bought the game, and who want to mod their game, spawn ramps and do other fun things. That you cannot see the fun in that is really of no concern or consideration. Until you get that idea out of your head about how the game is meant to be played, any discussion is really in vain. This game is a sandbox game, with unlimited freedom, there is no right or wrong way to play this game, and this doesn't only mean in single player, this includes multiplayer. I agree that cheating or doing other related stuff doesn't belong to ranked MP, but in other modes (especially freeroam) there is no problem. How about non ranked games with players that don´t cheat/spawn/mod? I think that if people want to hack/mod/cheat/spawn whatever then just open your own server and go ahead. But you play on other players servers then respect their game. I really hope R* make an effort to sort this problem out. A easier kick/ban function would be nice. A cheater that uses "Elite cheat". Elite cheat is when you use glitches or small mods that makes your guns a little better than other or cars that are a little faster that others. Its hard to notice the difference sometimes. 3. A modder that uses fast cars or rocket guns BUT ain't killing anyone or destroys for others? You can only choose one! Posted February 27, 2009 Share Posted February 27, 2009 (edited) Some mods are pretty cool and fun, but shooting rockets from machine guns, invulnerability and crashing servers intentionally are the type of actions that are ruining the fun factor and making it nearly impossible to have a clean public match. Even in free mode those actions are despicable and I hope R* or some great modder figures out a way for admins to take control of their server and instantly ban the poor sport losers who are malicious while using mods. Until then just stay away from pieces of sh*t like eVacFilms. People like him are just pussy trolls and lecturing or berating them only feeds them. You are the one using the game within the terms of the licence it's the modders/cheaters that should leave. That is highly debatable, I must admit that I haven't read the terms and conditions, but remember that many mods or whatever you want to call them, are not altering the original game files, therefore it can be debated that the terms and conditions do not apply. Unless of course it is specifically stated that any asi or dll that processes native game commands alongside the game native thread is also forbidden. Exactly, people are getting emotional about a bloody game, it is downright funny and frankly unbelievable. It seems nowadays not much is needed to make people upset. No, it's not about a game. It's about people being assholes. Ingame or not ingame. If someone is an asshole online, I wanna punch them in the face. If someone is an asshole in real life, I do punch them in the face. It doesn't matter if what I do is right or not. (Assholes are actually people who weren't treaten well as a kid, etc, and they only need some attention, love, but since their psychology is f*cked up they are doing mistakes like being an asshole. Punching them in the face will not help them, but it does prevent them from bothering me again.) To be honest from the above I *could* make out that you yourself didn't have enough love or at least not a decent education. As punching people in the face because they annoy you isn't a very smart thing to do. That is my point, you have zero tolerance, in the real world people will annoy you, be it in traffic or in public transportation or whatever, the same on online multiplay, punching people in the face, or getting too worked up about it isn't the answer. You guys also need to realise, that this game isn't only about shooting people or being competittive, some people (myself included) want to just have a good time online, and I use godmode on the car, to not being bothered by these kids, that seem to believe that each freeroam session is just another deathmatch.
