Ok thanks. I thought I had to do all sorts of crazy things in order to install it for GTAIV (like removing GFWL/...). Thanks, this makes me want to play GTAIV again. It runs so crappy on my new PC for some reason.

 

By the way, the download link for the Glock doesn't work. Leads to the download for the knife.

Well you might have to bypass securom, I don't know, I just always run a securom disabler even though I paid for the game because I don't like running useless crap like that tounge.gif

 

And I fixed the link now, thanks for pointing it out

What about sharing this 'securom' disabler with us? I'm also a person who hates having useless stuff running in the background.

 

Good looking, although the Glock logo looks a bit pixelated to me (could be wrong though).

 

edit: I've just taken a look at the 'textures'... lol they're not much bigger than a standard avatar. Is it possible for the game to 'read' higher res textures or will the texture show screwed up in the game?

Yeah the textures are tiny but I can't really help it, if you try to import a bigger res texture than the original it will either cut off 3/4ths of the image (with OpenIV) or resize the texture automatically (with SparkIV) confused.gif

I know it is possible to import bigger textures (like 1024 for a usual 512) for the clothes. It's certainly the same for the weapons or any other texture.

For exemple, the addidas top from Vlizzle is bigger than usual (1024x1024). I Asked him via pm how did he do that few days ago, but still no answer.

 

So now I use his *.wtd file and I import my 1024 texture over it. I really want to know how we can do that too !!!

Maybe there is a soft or a photoshop plugin or something...

i was thinking of reskinning them but the UV's pissed me off lol, what a crappy job, it looks really good, considering these limitations

 

 

i think to the trick to import higher res textures worked like this:

 

lets say you want to make a skin for pantsA.wtd which is 512, but pantsB.wtd is 1024, so you export pantsB, rename it to pantsA and reimport and now pantsA.wtd can uses a 1024 tex

 

i dont think this will help you though as the texture archives for each weapon have multiple textures

I really need that 'securom' workaround... can you PM me about this Millenia?

 

And I hate the update of the game... it made the game run even worse. While my PC meets the recommended specifications (even better than that!). Why can't they make this good? We already had to wait almost a year and we get this crappy running game? Come on
