[TuT] Adding cars to GTA SA

Yes, I have the same probs and could not find out yet why that happens.

It's annoying because sometimes the game freezes and you have to restart the computer.

what about fMaxVelocity, fEngineAcceleration and fBrakeDeceleration? how to convert it so i get the right handling for the car?

 

i have about 200 working cars now but all with almost the same fmax fengine fbrake, need to know how to convert exactly ^^... and a few cars have a problem with the handling ^^, when i hit a wall the engine goes off and the car doesnt move, i have to enter the car again to drive, false model/handlingflags or something? i hope i have converted all from HEX to DEC ^^

 

another big question: would it be possible to use the added cars with SA-MP when i open a server? i will have to try it ^^, but i will have to implement the carIDs into a the samp-script... but first i will add 500cars (only the best of the best) and release the "Added-Cars-mod" if i wont be late and some1 else release it, so u dont have to add by ur own ^^, it took already 10hours for 200cars with testing and renaming, and some handlings still have to be rewritten

You just could try to find out how high you are allowed to set FMaxVelocity

without getting crashes. Or do you maybe have to uncheck USE_MAXSP_LIMIT

& finally concerning your mod: You know that you would need 'a couple of permissions'

then, don't you?! I also guess that GTA Garage & GTA Forums are not too happy with these

kind of mods and won't host them. So you gotta know what to do.

i know i need permissions but i think i cant ask 500 modelers ^^ (not really, many cars are from the same modeler)... also i cant make a creditlist with so many names ^^, many cars i downloaded even havent got a readme with credits not to mention their email address or something to contact them ^^, how to get permission from a nickname without any contactinfo?... and who will need that list? ^^... i think i will give credits "to every gta-community"and thats enough ^^... there are some carpacks out there, how did they do it? did they get permission from every modeler?

 

i think if its possible to use the added cars in SAMP (still havent tried it yet) and if we manage to avoid crashes we will need a carpack, because every1 need the same cars with same IDs... so if not me then some1 else will release a carpack ^^... and how about releasing it without credits and every1 with his car in the carpack will have to write me an email if he wants his credits there? sorry my first mod i "edit" ^^

Increase the increments by one again, respectively.

 

I'm having audio trouble - a jumpy sound for the engine and the bicycle bell for all vehicles? Crazy. Apart from that, this is very good.

 

You might also like to add that people can add a "IMG MODELS\VEHICLES.IMG" to the top of GTA.DAT and then create the new vehicles.img file in Alci's IMG Editor, and then you can add your DFF & TXD's to the new IMG, so it could (possibly, hopefully, untestedly) work with SA-MP.

Turorial is very good, but for these, who understand structure of configuration files.

I add 5 new vehicles.

 

You can add new motor, bike, helicopter, plane or boat, but you must then edit parameters in HandlingAdder.ini. Please open handling.cfg in SA Handling Editor and rewrite parameters to HandlingAdder.ini. Only motor, bike or cars can reapper in the game. In the case of other vehicles you must can edit MAIN.SCM.

 

 

Well i would totally try it but..

can i use the SA Limit Adjuster and ENB and the Nos mod at the same time ?

 

oh and also, i think someone found out another way to do this

I checked it and SA Limit Adjuster isn`t needed. Already oneself addon More Vehiclesincreaces limit of vehicles to 1000. Wihout SA Limit Adjuster all works OK.

I don`t recomend SA Limit Adjuster, because game often crashes. CLEO Window mod by 2pacproducer - If you are busted by police then game crashes with SALA. CLEO Freefal (animation as GTA IV) crashes game.

If in game 4 stars appears game crashes. 4 stars apears, when you drive to blocked city.

 

If you want SA Limit Adjuster + ENBSeries:

- Download ASI Loader and copy 2 files to GTA SA directory. If you install CLEO Library - you have already ASI Loader.

- Download ENBSeries and exract to GTA SA Directory.

- Download SA Limit Adjuster. Exract to any directory e.g desktop. Change name of file d3d9.dll to e.g sala.asi The file must have extension.asi

You have SA Limit Adjuster + ENBSeries. You must already only set these 2 addons...

Skip SA Limit Adjuster, SALA isn`t needed.

 

If game crashes on menu, I suggest, that problem may result from bad files in \audio directory, they do not match with configuration files in \audio\CONFIG

It's just a suggestion.

I recommend reinstall GTA SA.

 

Don`t skip the step with Handling Adder.

Example if you add one car:

Count = 1, because you add one cars. The cars will writen in CARS_IDs section.

Here you must write ID of cars, given from vehicles.ide

If you add more cars, IDs must be written line below the line.

The handling what you must type you will find in DefaultCarHandling.txt

Give handling from car wor which car had to be replaced.

hey i used your way to add train carriages and it worked fine.... once...

 

i added 1 car to the train wit id nr 612 and it worked.... when i wanted to add another car on the same way with id number 613 the game crashed as soon as the train spawned.....

 

why?

 

i did everything nessecary to add and it only worked out the first time

I someting found with Free IDs 6526-6862 in vechiles.ide, added cars have sounds without VehicleAudioEditor

when i install the tools, all my cars sounds become bmx horn na dthe engine becomes silent, and the doors is the plane sounds.. any body who know how to make it work normaly?

I added 3 cars (numbers 612, 613 and 614)

After this i added 2 more cars on numers 18700 and 18701 but they do not appear in the game.

 

I put them in the group of funhouse cheat, but (if I typ the cheat) they do not apear in game.

I eddited a cleo carspawner to spawn 18700 and 18701. when I try spawning them they do just not apear.

no errors or anything..

 

pleas help?

Tinus, I had the same issue. If you are making a PARKED car with CLEO, it won't work. But if you make a one time spawn (load the model and everything) it will appear. Mine also appear on the roads fine.

 

Also everyone, DON'T USE HANDLING ADDER! You don't have to! Simply add your new handling at the VERY BOTTOM of the handling file! It works perfect for me!

You have to use something that will allow you to add those abilities to the vehicles. Use this. The instructions in the read-me should guide you from there. smile.gif

Sorry for bump/double post but...

 

I have been adding cars to my GTA: San Andreas.

 

Once I hit about 10 cars, spheres and map icons made with CLEO are starting to disappear. I haven't noticed any non-CLEO stuff disappear yet.

 

Does anyone know how to fix/avoid this?

hey guys this tool is very helpfull to convert handling cfg into handling adder format, this tutorial help me a lot!,

remember only cars, and in the handling adder maybe should decrease fEngineAcceleration /2 for a very similar handling
