It seems that SparkIV can open the IMG files from this. I only tried opening then anim.img file though, because I haven't finished downloading the second part.

Ah, damn, I just noticed that the animations are in a different file format, they're now .xad instead of .wad.

xbox-animation-data xad

windows-animation-data wad

obviously

[.xad -> .XBOXad] [.wad -> .WINDOWSad] ... i dont think that it's possible to port tlad to pc... Maybe we can get some charactermodels + textures but nothing more i think.

All the model and texture formats also start with a W. Which means all the models and textures in the xbox files will most likely start with an X. Which means we'll need a tool that would somehow convert the xbox format into the windows format in order to use the files.

I'm comparing SCOs atm, if I can get scos with unchanged content, I can possibly write a sco converter !

 

By unchanged content I mean unchanged "code", not actual file content.

Without a doubt a few apps will need to be tweaked. Im looking into thos files right now.

As a thought you could add in the code for the engine to read the .xad or perhaps its allready there. monocle.gif

Well, at least the data files are in the exactly same format as the PC version. I've managed to make the RPG act pretty much like the grenade launcher in TLAD. I created a new projectile by copy-pasting the data from TLAD. Although due to the lack of models and new effects, the grenade uses the default grenade model and it has the rocket trail.

Now, if I'd have the grenade launcher animations, the grenade launcher model, the model of the grenade that's fired by the grenade launcher, I'd have a perfect TLAD grenade launcher.

Hergonan i just checked with the stock 360 gtaiv and i can open the SCO's how ever if i open them from the update or TLAD they wont open. So somethings changed a bit and the program dosent know what to do. Im useing Spark.

How did you make .001 , .002 etc files from 360 into normal folders?

e.g. I have extracted B66716ED23BE790FCF1210AB932119501DC7405E54.001 from 360 but i can't find a way to turn it into normal files?

Thanx for that tool. Have you tested the files with open IV

The files in the data folder are usable as they are.

Sites can be added just by renaming(i hope)(i'll go to my other pc tommorow and check)

yep, open iv doesnt work, just like spark.. you can import the files but you cant open them. The game crashes if u rename them to .w__ and import.

With so much decoded, all we need is someone to create a 360 to pc decryptor and the jobs done. We're nearly there. If someone does make it. Make sure it works backwards too.
