NeonSeeker
hey, i downloaded the mod, placed all files in the script folder, and i got .NET 3.5 but the mod wont really work, 1. when i press ctrl + z i dont get headlights at night 2.i dont have engine view (whats that?) i only can see the speedo and when i need fuel i see a fuel pump icon, when engine is damaged i see yellow thingy, and red thingy (depends how damaged it is) and the script crashes each time, atfer playing with it for a while.. Any ideas? btw: u said i need some userStation files with .pet extension??? they dont come with the download.. and i dont have any fuel station icons in game too.. please help! p.s i cant even steal fuel lol
SID44SID
I'll get hotfix out for the Q bug today at some point. I'm going to try and make the script more effceient, so all other work is stopped for time being until I can sort the script out. Edit: Just got to go through the 300 lines of code that make up the fuelTick method, and see if I can improve it in anyway. Hotfix is still in great demand! But I'll agree with coldfix too... Andrew
Ah damnit, I got so caught up in other stuff that I haven't had a chance to work on the mod. Please list the most crucial things you want fixing and I'll attempt to get them done before the weekend is over. I'm not making any promises though. Flagrant
I think the crucial one is the Q-bug. Fix it, please, and the mod is OK, i guess.
SID44SID
List of bugs to be fixed in hotfix 1. "Q" bug. When press on Q-key mod crashes. 2. No fuel station's icons on map. 3. Can't change key combinations.

Calu
Love! your mod But besides the Q and Z (or Y with german keyboard layout) keys which crash the mod (I moved from playing with WASD to RDFG which feels kinda weird but keeps me from accidentaly hitting Q), is it possible that you have left some car spawn key in there? There are falling Comets from the sky (literally) every now and then when I play They never disappear so after some playing the regular traffic gets thinner and thinner... Andrew
Yeah there probably is some testing code left in there, I'll make sure its removed. The aim for this release. -Icons for fuel stations -Q problem fixed.

SID44SID
It works! Great! But in readme you mentioned also "The gauges apart from the RPM and Fuel gauge now disappear when you get out of the car". This doesn't work. Special thanks for customizable gauges!!! danodk
Awesome work! And works together with alot of other MODS im using ! And very nice with the blibs ! But why "J" ? request for letter "F" instead ? ye thats the only minor problem.... The gauges apart from the RPM and Fuel gauge now disappear when you get out of the car Besides that, great MOD ! Andrew
Werid they should do, only the fuel and rpm guage should remain. The rest speedo and status lights should hide themselves. Ah well sort that one another day.

Andrew
Ah that's alright then, the only reason they stay is so that you can see the fuel level when refilling.
SID44SID
Gangsta Killa Can you explain how to use custom gauges? A've made one, but can't make it appeared in game.
Andrew
It doesn't work yet. It is a work in progress. But since the code is too entwined in the mod. It would of been very hard to remove it. Expect Custom Guages for V4. As said in the read me this was primarily a bug fix release.

Accountclosed
When I try to refuel up an added car (not replaced, but added), I can't. One simple answer is easy to find, it's not added to the database in the fuelmod, but how do I do that? I can see the carDB.xml file, and it's easy to add new cars, if I just were able to get the hash of the new car I've added. I have tried to use the "car database editor", but can't find a ".pet" file anywhere. Could you guide me in the right direction? Thank you
Accountclosed
Could you add the possibility to add new cars to the "car list" in the "Fuel Script Database editor"? I am having problems atm. to refuel newly added cars, but the already existing cars in GTA IV, has no problem refueling. It all comes down to the "names" of the newly added cars. The names are "audia8" and "audir8", but the names on the already existing cars are often the known ones as "corquette". Like when people add "new" cars to the game instead of replacing existing ones. I have added 2 cars lately... the Audi R8, and the Audi A8, and none of them can refuel. When I try, nothing happens, but the script reacts when the engine is not properly shut off before you get out of the car.
Andrew
I'll have a look at it, and see if it is possible. It will be a three stage process, one I'll need to create a script that grabs the hash, two someone with added cars, will need to test it and see if it generates a hash. Then once we've confirmed it we'll then look at getting it added to the editor. I've made some mistakes whilst making this mod, I've tried to do too much at once, and continuous development has made me get fed up of working on it. Rather then do it all at once, I'm going to do a little bit at a time. So the first thing on the agenda to add into the mod is: - Stealing fuel After that is done and working correctl (involving releases and testing) I'll move on to something else.
