Don't Have Enough Memory

Recommended Posts

Lil' Red

I'd like to know exactly what do I have to buy in order to download the 1.8 gb DLC. I have the Xbox 360 Arcade and it comes with 512 mb of memory. I currently have 70 mb of memory free on my storage device. This is all the information I need to know besides: Do I need a gold live account to download TLAD?

Sorry, but it's no PC, the memory is 512MB on both the PS3 and the Xbox360.

What you need is size in terms of the HDD AKA Hard Disk Drive

You will need a larger capacity HDD for a kick off , but you can download the DLC with the free silver account. icon14.gif

As I believe the Arcade does not come with a hard drive, you'll need to buy one. The cheapest one is 20GB.

FYI you mean storage (hard drive) capacity, not memory wink.gif

Those with PS3, and like me, the 60GB with memory card slots, We can download from their site, to PCs then move the content for the gaming console to a memory "flash" card, these are available upto 8GB, which was unheard of a few years back. If you can do that, a 4GB flash card is under $50 these days.

The PS3 has 256 MB or DDR3 and another 256 MB of very fast system RAM specifically for the OS.

The XBOX has 512 MD of DDR3, just a little help for you console gamers to understand what's inside your consoles, I could go into

more detail, but not now. colgate.gif

A) He doesn't have a PS3.

B) You can't download the DLC from anywhere other than onto your Xbox 360.

I know he doesn't but I don't know the ins and outs technically with the 360 in mind, I can say if you are flash card buying, a 8Gb is available and in one instance, a 16GB CCF card I believe. If memory serves it sells for about $200 though. It's spendy no matter how you slice it.

I'm pointing out that all online upgrades and the like for Playstation folk can be done with a REAL PC versus only via the console. I love that, myself

Aye, I understood what you're saying. I used to own a PS3, I'm just saying it's pretty useless to say in his situation.

You can get a 20GB hard drive from Microsoft. Go to the site and enter your xbox's serial number, and they'll send you one for £15.

I personally feel they should design these now as open-architecture so that one can add memory modules, however, given the life expectancy, the hardware typically sets the programmer's limits, unlike the PC, and many 'elitists' call this out when shooting down the consoles over the PC.

I feel, with in a designation like DDR3, or DDR4, we could expand somewhat that would still make it worthwhile. If the industry fear is outdated components. They have made worse choices.

How much is E15 in USD?

Also, I said nothing about a PC version of GTA IV.

Off the top of my head, I'd say you're looking at roughly $30.

Drives can be found on Craig's List or eBay, in the store at Gamestop/MC, I saw them for $79 or so USD.

I am mentioning the PC because in my mind, a gaming online Network should be accessible on PC the same as a console. The Net is the Net. You'd need to get past the toll both where you paid for an account [Live] and you provide proof. I haven't used it but I registered for PSN thru my PC and not the console.

I went into flash cards because it seemed to me they were mentioned in the first post. That is all.

So I have to spend another 50 f*cking dollars just to play TLAD?

How much does 1600 microsoft points cost? I pray that it costs around $15 so it would at least cost $45 to be playing it by monday.
