Precursors Fun World 134 Posted October 12, 2020 Share Posted October 12, 2020 My game is also crashing at the begining of the loading screen, it appears the game loads after restoring the default particles.txd ( I used modloader) so it seems that's the file that is giving trouble, is there any way to fix the file or anything? Installed fresh copy of the 2001 retail version, using EXE v1.0 (2,383,872 bytes - tried one with CRC32: 5E0D7140 and another with CRC32: 14031595), copied over the audio from CD#2, replaced all files in the install folder with the ones from this mod. Even cleared the the game settings from the Docs folder. Loads fine to the main menu, crashes on new game or load game. The install is clean, it obviously works for a lot of people, but also doesn't work for quite a few. The steps are so straight forward that there doesn't seem to be any troubleshooting possible, assuming the game executable is correct. Well, F* me. I use steam version and overwrite the Definitive Edition (https://qualcomone.wixsite.com/rgde/modification) in another PC works. In a Dell Vostro 3500 laptop the game freeze at the loading screen. After the game has been running for some time, my pause menu turns white; once this happens, the game crashes.
