Wow, nice find, the XBOX version is completely sweet.

 

The Speeder is finished, but looks nearly like the original one

Ok, next is the Aeroplane, it's not flyable, but the XBOX one is just nicer.

The Textures are displayed wrong in Zmodeler, so i don't showed them.

By the way, that's my effects pack you're using right? Was just wondering whether the XBOX effects may have been converted or not.

Sorry to double post but I'd like to bump this.

 

THIS is what the Xbox version of GTA3 looked like, for anyone wondering.

 

 

 

Notice the detailed train - even the ridges on the side of the train have been fully modelled, textures are over six times the resolution.

 

Character models are no longer made of separate parts - they use a bone structure as in VC/SA AND they have separate fingers!

 

Sounds are also much higher quality and generally sound better.

 

It's now possible for wheels, etc to fly off during an explosion.

 

Headlights work properly and vehicle sounds have been overhauled.

 

Of course, some things can't be converted to PC. Like the real-time refs, character models, headlights and possibly sounds. Not sure about the last one.

Interesting find: xbox uses this texture as real-time reflection user posted image . Vehicle reflection config file is carTweakingTable.dat in 'neo' folder.

And if we really want to enable rtr in this mod we can use ENB series.

 

Characters have bone animation. I tried to convert models but I get errors. The same thing is with game audio. I can extract sounds form sfx.raw but they are f*cked up. Xbox used other codecs

ENB Series is waaayy too unreliable, it would never stop f*cking up when I installed it.

 

I'll just make a custom ref texture instead. (specially made to suit low poly cars, lol)

I finally found and removed two models which were sometimes crashing my game. It took me 2 f*cking hours...

 

Now I can show my little progress here

But real-time reflections can be used with ENB series. (just in INI of enb choose only reflections.)

ENB Series reflections are crap. They're hell buggy and unrealistic for me.

 

And MinnieMan121249, I prefer wide-screen cause my game sometimes crashes on 32bit lol xD
