Hi, maybe this bug has already been resolved but I can't find it. Im playing on clean version of gta 3 only with xbox mod and when my game folder is on desktop everythink works fine, but when i copy it in to rockstargames folder the textures are bugging. Deleting txd doesn't help. My version is 1.0.

I already removed it, and as I said, on desktop works, in rockstar games folder didn't. I think I only need this message about converting textures, but it don't want to show even if this txd's are removed.. could somebody help? ;)

Aren't you supposed to insert a blank txd.img (at least for old XBox mod you had to).

I made little progress: if I run game with administrator premissions it show message abut converting textures and works fine, but without premissions it still spoils textures. I dont know, do you also need to run game with premissions?

A small update is coming up next month. I know I promised an update soon after releasing the mod, but hey, better later than never, right? Here's what you can expect:


- HD xbox menu textures

- HD pager texture

- Collision improvements

- Minor model improvements and fixes

- Some more HD map textures

- Item placement fixes

- probably something else I forgot


Thanks to all of you who were reporting bugs in here or via pm. Most of them are already fixed.


I'm also thinking about forcing xbox menu script to use a different .txd archive for menu textures. That way you can restore PC version menu by simply deleting xmenu.asi - no more file replacing.

Just don't install this update as a separate mod if you have Xbox Version HD installed via ModLoader. Instead, replace all the files in Xbox Version HD mod folder.

Is it possible to make it 16:9?

The textures are 2048x1024, therefore they fit 16:9 aspect ratio perfectly.

• SkyGfx update (2.3a, unofficial 10.08.2017 build). Adds foot splash effect from PS2 version, fixes various rain droplets glitches

Holy sh*t, updates! :D

 

By the way, you should include this minor mod. It replaces Claude's CS head with the XBOX one (because it's odd to see PC Claude head in cutscenes while he has a different one IG). Obviously not now, but in the next update (if it ever happens).

Its possible..but kinda tedious since the colours wont change between games. (can only paint it entirely in 3ds max etc)

Thats what i did for my game anyway. Has to be aligned correctly and all that noise

Fantastic update! I strongly believe now that this is the best GTA3 conversion mod; since vanilla hasn't aged that well in terms of graphics, this really is a must have. Awesome work on this one Rim, it feels like playing it brand new back in 2001 again

about xbox.asi script... there is wrong background when Loading savegame from the already loaded game... background is the "Audio" one and it should be different from these that are in .txd also i would say that windscreen should be in a little higher quality.

Great update Rim. It's great to see that all the 8 years of hard work has finally paid off. I've been using this mod for the last 7 years, keeping up with all the updates and betas that you release. It's certainly one of the best mods on the forums. Thanks a lot for the hard work you've been doing to keep a 3 Era game alive.

I installed the base mod on a clean GTA3 game, then installed the Update 1, imported the files and rebuilt the archives. I did everything as described in the ReadMe. But yet when I open gta3 and either chose to start a new game or load existing game the loading bar stops shortly after the beginning and I get this message:

PS: I use 1.0 exe

i also noticed after update 1 random textures getting invisible of random objects/buildings but after restarting they ok but some other are f*cked up

Hmm, I did come across those issues when I was testing the game with modloader, but never on a ml-free game. It's either my fault, or .dff exporter's or modloader's... :/

i dont use mod loader so it might not be its fault i only can say that random textures get's invisible on the map with every game launch with update 1
