Fnorg
Buffering on NBC.com ATM, man am I hyped. Can't wait for Andy to come out. EDIT: That was beautiful. Here's to another 16 years. Edited February 21, 2009 by Gronf

beavis
..and that's it. Yenik. I think a Cali meet up would be a great idea. We can go to the Conan taping and then hit the town.
darthYENIK
Yeah, it would be cool. I just have to find someone to give me a ride, which shouldn't be a problem, since a few of my friends are big Conan fans.
Jordan
What do you guys think of Fallon taking over? Fallon??? Jimmy Fallon is taking over for Conan!?! Am I reading right? Oh God, he's f*cking awful. I hate it when people say this sort of thing. Conan O'Brien was not very funny at all his first three years. When people heard that Letterman was leaving Late Night and being replaced by a guy named Conan O'Brien, people weren't excited. Give Jimmy Fallon a chance. And give him more than a day or a week or a month or a year. Everyone is so quick to judge in this world. Let people develop their craft.
Digïtál £vîl
I'm looking forward to finding Conan on the streets of Hollywood when he finally moves over here. Maybe I will catch him at a few Dodger games... lol... that is, if we keep Manny. Conan's a born and bred Red Sox's fan, no?
beavis
Conan's pale skin is gonna suffer in the summer. Local Californians, we should hold a meet up.
Vanilla Shake
Unconfirmed reports that Conan has taken a trip to Miami to get a head start on the tan he will be acquiring while in Los Angeles. He even stopped to pose for paparazzi. TC718 / <629 / CF5

Spaghetti Cat
Freggin Sweet!! Richter will fill the role once held by Ed McMahon, serving as the announcer for the “Tonight Show” when Conan O’Brien takes over the reins from Jay Leno on June 1. Richter previously served as a sidekick to O’Brien on “Late Night” between 1993 and 2000. According to a release sent out by NBC, Richter’s new role will not be as a sidekick, but he will be involved in live and prerecorded comedy bits. The new Tonight Show is sounding better and better... No Image Available

beavis
Worthy bump and some news on Fallon's behalf: Jimmy Fallon Promises More Gaming Exposure on 'Late Night'New 'Late Night' host says they'll treat game releases "like movie premieres." Ever wondered why big new game releases don't get the same promotional attention on late night talk shows as new movie or music releases? Well, sure, part of that has to do with the relative lack of recognizable star power in gaming, but it appears it's something that new Late Night host Jimmy Fallon intends to correct. Speaking to Canada.com (via Joystiq), Fallon -- who follows in the footsteps of David Letterman and Conan O'Brien when he takes the reigns of Late Night starting Monday -- talked about how his show will treat gaming differently. "We're going to treat a videogame premiere as if it was a movie premiere," Fallon promised. "My generation grew up with the computer. We grew up with the Internet. We live in a videogame type of world -- videogames are second nature to us. Games make more money, as an industry, than the film industry." Fnorg
Hey, Fallon might not suck after all. I dunno, I guess we'll have to wait and see. And yay for Richter.
beavis
Didn't know Jimmy's premier was today. Will have to watch it! One time "Saturday Night Live" player Jimmy Fallon's inaugural show features Robert De Niro, Justin Timberlake and music guest Van Morrison. Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
Uh oh, he's featuring video games? People already think he's juvenile. This could seal it.
Fnorg
Uh oh, he's featuring video games? People already think he's juvenile. This could seal it. As long as Fallon's funny, I don't care if a forty five yearold construction worker dislikes him for presenting game releases. And even if he isn't funny, he's making way for a new thing, because this appeals the younger people. Who the hell cares what old people think, they'll die soon and we won't. I don't think Leno or Conan will do this, because they're old. The next generation of talks shows, on the other hand, will feature video games. It's brilliant. Kind of. darthYENIK
That gaming thing is good for us. But for the average person it's going to go over their head. Just look at what Conan did with GTAIV. Great bit about Niko going around being nice to people and accidents happening, but only half the audience was laughing.

It's free cone day at Baskin' Robbins!" "I! LOVE! SPRINGTIME!" EDIT: What are the chances Conan will reboot the Chuck Norris lever? The only thing I remember about it is that he pulled a lever and then awesomeness showed up. I have very vague memories from like '04-'05, before I started watching the show. beavis
More than likely we'll bring it back. He knows that most of his viewers will still tune in and the Walker lever is part of the show that stuck with the viewers over the past years. All we need is Vigoda, even though he wasn't a vital character I liked him, I liked seeing that he hadn't died. Has anyone seen Fallon? How's he doing? Spaghetti Cat
Has anyone seen Fallon? How's he doing? meh, he does a nice opening act for the Roots crew. beavis
Fallon seemed a bit stiff on the first show, but that's understandable considering it was his first day. The addition of the Roots band to his show is a class act.

I always got the feeling that they were using him to try and replace Sandler, but he was a watered down version at best, and I'm not a huge fan of Sandler's to begin with. Slamman
Has anyone seen Fallon? How's he doing? meh, he does a nice opening act for the Roots crew. I don't know...give it time, hopefully it will get better. Until then I'm waiting for June 1st Interesting enough, it was nice to see Tina Fey on his show, she's so damn sexy! Anywho, he's alright, but maybe rather then Conan, we should compare his efforts with that of CBS's class clown, Craig Ferguson. He's acted some very minor parts in film, but on TV, as a host, it's almost uncomfortable, but it really feels personable as well, unlike Fallon. He comes off as a wacky neighbor. and he is OUT OF HIS GORD!
