Hart
Forrest Gump has a really heartbreaking ending, gets me every time. Especially the bit where's he's talking to where his wife is buried under their favourite tree, and when their little boy is getting on the bus. Tom Hanks plays that bit really well, with the hands-on-hips, slightly fidgeting and crying.
makeshyft
Watching Forrest Gump - to me, anyway - is like being whipped repeatedly in the eyes with a wet American flag. I can see why people enjoy the film, but it plays on the whole Americana thing too much for my liking.
Creed Bratton
Someone already mentioned Man on Fire. I have to agree on that one. It's epic. Denzel is my favorite actor so I'll mention some of the endings from his movies that I like. Deja Vu: I kinda predicted the whole thing about him dying and then the present Denzel meets the girl. But it was still awesome Training Day: Everything about that movie is awesome. And it was so tensed. The way he was just driving around like he had no worries but he was terrified inside. And then those Russians surrounded him and killed him. It was really scary Inside Man: I always like a good bank heist movie. Ocean's 11 can suck a cock. Inside Man had the greatest ending out of all heist movies. The guy just walked out the front door. Now one that doesn't have Denzel involved Suicide Kings: I really thought it's gonna be a happy ending. But, there are no happy endings with Mr.Walken. Still, I prefer it that way. Really badass ending
DemonKing
Scarface, on the other hand... Yeah that ending sucked for me. @Spursfan. Yeah both those films have a pretty awesome ending, for sure Good, Bad and the Ugly. Seeing Eastwood riding off into the distance leaving tuco semi hanged and then shooting the rope. Badass. iamanevilbastard
I'm flabbergatsed that noone has mentioned Fight Club. I mean, c'mon, how many people saw THAT coming?
Hart
I'm flabbergatsed that noone has mentioned Fight Club. I mean, c'mon, how many people saw THAT coming? Well I suspected some sort of twist coming at the end, seeing as you see snippets of Tyler flashed on-screen near the beginning, and when Edward Norton is at the hospital, he's repeating what Tyler is saying in the background. I just didn't expect THAT to happen.
iamanevilbastard
Yeah, I noticed the cameo apperances at the start of the film, but I don't remember the bit in the hospital. Unusual, since I know that movie fairly well, not bragging, I'm just sayin'
Rhoda
For anyone who's ever seen the film Identity they'll know why I've picked this one: John Cusack is fictional, as are the others. Malcolm Rivers (The "host") suffers from multiple personality disorders and the characters in the motel were actually personalities. All of them have distinguishing characteristics which lead to the fact that they are just Malcolm's creations (eg. Same birth date, surnames are all also names of towns). In the end, the only person to leave the motel alive is Paris (Amanda Peet) as Ed (Cusack) and Rhodes (Liotta) shot each other to death. On their way to a mental institution, Malcolm has another vision, he sees Paris doing some gardening when Timmy (the little boy) appears with a door key with the number 'one' on it. We then realise he is the murderer as he was behind everyone's death in some way. Not only does Timmy kill Paris, but the personality takes control of Malcolm, who then strangles the doctor who is sitting in the seat in front of him. The car stops in the middle of nowhere. All-Blacks
Birdy, one of few movie endings that has put me into disarray . It's sort of a rip off if you expect answers thrown at you.
WidowMaker
You get to tell me how to post when you manage to string together some content that goes beyond "so f*cking sad." 3 f*cking words. Woopie-f*ckin-do. I put more effort into my retort than you did your f*cking contribution. And you get to tell people how to post when somebody puts you in charge of this forum. Until then, either report posts as spam, or lose the attitude, chief. Now lets get back to the topic guys... Put me in charge already then. I mean, not that you guys aren't doing a bang up job so far. Love all the one word posts that are so prevalent here.
papanesta
Armageddon Did you just ignore all the talk of contributing? You never really seem to contribute in this section, just spam. EDIT: Didn't notice there was a third page after clicking the link from the report. Now I look like a f*cking idiot. But you can't claim I haven't tried to crack down on one world posts. I encourage discussion wherever I can. Edited February 22, 2009 by papanesta

I don't mean to speak for WidowMaker, but I don't think that comment was directed at you, man. It's obvious you encourage discussion, rather than blind posting. You're one of my favourite dudes on here.
QwertyAAA
ATM, I'll say The Prestige. The movie winds up with like three insanely complicated Xanathos Gambits going on at the same time, and then everything is explained at the same time. It's quite interesting really. Also, The Godfather and Soylent Green.
Mike Tequeli
I'll have to concur with Soylent Green. For a movie that perhaps isn't that great, the ending is pretty iconic and clever. And The Usual Suspects of course, which was probably mentioned two posts in.

papanesta
Awesome. Cheers, guys. I seriously need to read Watchmen before it comes out. I've got the £75 (though I got it for £50) Ultimate Watchmen novel sitting on my floor next to me, I just need to find time to get it read.
