essexmat
Why are most of you rushing the game and finishing it in like one day? It's like its a competition or you get a special prize for finishing it so quick. Surely it is better to sit back and enjoy the game and do a few missions, break then go back to it etc? I was guilty of this on San Andreas. I got the game and got so hooked I finished all the storyline missions in 2 days. As for GTA4 - I didn't really rush it but did not find it hard at all and I was finished in around a week so I decided not to rush this DLC and play a few missions a day. Also the on going debate about best GTA games (not inc 1 and 2) for me the order in preference are: - Vice City - San Andreas - GTA 3 - VC Stories - LC Stories Anyone know why there was no SA stories? Also, as a GTA addict/fan does anyone think R* will do another full game in the near future?
Enjoii
People enjoy playing the game in different ways, nobody can tell anyone how to play their game, it's all down to personal preference. I've always played the really quickly on the first go and get 100% on that save then start a new game and go slowly and take my time. Plus the story in this one is quite short, so it's not like you'd need to play it constantly to even complete it in 1 day. I completed it quickly and I still think it was a brilliant game and I'm still playing it through, well worth the money.
Meadsy4742
I agree, people that are completing the game and complaining that its not a good as they expecting is because they haven't even tried to enjoy it. I've played around 5 missions and left it for a while - so far its brilliant. I kinda rushed through GTA IV and hated myself for it.
essexmat
Same here, so eager to get GTA4 I rushed it and didn't have a real clue about the actual story. Took me 2 hours to download last night and I was excited to get going on it. I played a few missions then just left it. I will do a few tonight and so on. Still expect to finish in a week maybe but that is OK
Pumpkin Zone
I completed it in about 8 and a half hours as soon as I bought it. Some people just get too excited. I know I did, and now I'm a grumpy old f*ck about it. But there's a lot of side missions, random encounters, and overall it's just fun to ride around on your bike listening to the new radio. The 15 year olds here are gonna complain and they shouldn't even be playing the game, not much we can do.
Raptomex
The only reason I beat it in one day is because being a hardcore GTA fan, when a new GTA game comes out, or in this case, a new add-on, I just play it non-stop. Simple enough.
ARSENALFC
It took me 4 hours to DL last night and i then played a couple of missions. Anyone that has completed able to tell me, roughly how many missions there are all together? Loving it so far.

Gunde
I don't even know where I would find 8 hours to play in one day I did 10 missions yesterday, taking my time and enjoying it.
Dingdongs
I finished it in 6 hours- I played for about 2 went to work then when I got home finished it up- I really didn't enjoy myself with the actual story, just had fun seeing Niko and doing things in connection to his story. Matthias King
I didn't intentionally rush through. I just played at a normal pace, then the ending crept up on me quickly. I'd read a few places that TLAD was supposed to be approximately half the gameplay hours of IV, so I was surprised when Istarted a mission and realized that it must be the final one, and then it was confirmed when the final cutscene and credits rolled. I'm not complaining about the game. It was good. It was just shorter than I expected. That's all.

ArcaneKnight
Im glad im one of those people who can play a game at a slow pace, while enjoying it to the fullest. I am in no rush whatsoever, and I'd be kicking myself in the as$ if I had finished it inside of 1 day. Id feel like i wasted my money too doing that, but drawing it out, you get so much more out of it, and I plan on completing it fully, instead of rushing through the storyline and then going for all the other stuff to get the 100%. Im splitting up the storyline and side missions/races evenly to get the most out of this DLC. And those saying by the time I do that, Ill have forgot the whole plot, nah. I can go back and do the storyline all the way through after. But I will not be completing the storyline the first time around inside a week. Im getting my moneys worth. Ill be damned if I let myself rush through it and leave myself nothing left to do after 2 days..
Anton79
Yeah i mix it up a bit play one or two missions then just cruise around taking in the sights then maybye have a few MP games. i like to take my time. But people play in different ways.
Darrel
People have nothing better to do maybe? Which is kind of sad. I completed Gta IV in like a month and some people competed it in like a day or two. and that was just the story not 100%
Jam And Butter
I just like to slowly go through it and enjoy doing it, I have breaks from missions every now and then and mess about then go back to missions...then do it again
mister turdles
I don't get people who get angry at people for rushing it more than anything, they paid just as much for it as you did so they can play it however they like.
Leo Colt
It's a reflection of the careless and wasteful culture of today. I'm amazed how many people don't actually keep their games these days, even some of the good ones. People ask me to lend them the games they've sold, and I simply tell them no (that, and the reason that so few people even bother to look after their own property. I shudder to think what will happen if I lend them something that isn't theirs). Replayability is something that is rarely heard anymore. It exists in so few games that have been out in the last five or six years, and now owning a game "requires" you to beat it as quickly as possible so you can move on to the next. That's the reason why gaming is declining these days. Many developers are just manufacturing cheap games with little substance, and now everyone seems to believe this to be the norm. So when a game comes out that does have some substance, everything bar the main plot is overlooked. It seems that in most people's minds, games are no longer an enriching and sustainable experience. Merely the equivalent to interactive DVDs. Edited February 18, 2009 by Leo Colt
