Funny how they give it a similar cooler design and sticker as the GTX 285.

As if it's somehow related to the GT200.

So at least they changed something...

And also Palit made a GTX 285 2 GB recently.

Old news I already posted about all of this tounge.giftounge.gif , check this thread of info devil.gif .

and this old one

The reviews for the GTS 250 were posted today.

I know the 2 GB 285 is old, but for some reason your previous link was talking about a double memory 260.

You don't need the review of the GTS250, because it's the old 9800GTX+ with a new name suicidal.gif , no reason of posting it, you may read the review of the "palit GTS250 2Gb of VRAM", it will give you extra performance in few games and costs some 170$.

That's true, but I only used it for the pictures.

The 182.08 drivers came out today March 3. I still use the 181.22 drivers and everything works fine. I am a bit apprehensive about installing this new driver.

Anyone tried it yet? Any difference from the dreaded 182.06 with all the mentioned problems? I suppose that if they bring out drivers so closely after one another, there must

have been some problems.

Sorry I read all the posts. I apologize if I misread something but I thought everyone was talking about 182.06 not 182.08 which came out today. Most of the posts are dated

before March3 and deal with .06 not .08!

I registered just so I could chime in and confirm the same issues lots of others are having with the 182.06 drivers.

I'm certainly not new to driver installations, so naturally I performed a driver cleaner and subsequently a driversweeper via safemode when uninstalling my 181.22's and immediately noticed my performance taking a dip with the 182.06's afterwards.

181.22 I was benching @ ~ 57 FPS

182.06 I was benching @ ~ 47 FPS

Same settings, same everything else, just different drivers.

So, as you can guess I went immediately back to 181.22 and it's been smooth sailing since.

Although, I am running Windows 7 Beta, so I'm not entirely sure how much of an effect that has on the equation.

Wonder how 182.08 benches?

Anyone who has lost fps's when making the switch from 181.22 --> 182.06 daring enough to take the 182.08's for a spin?

You could try the new 181.71 beta drivers, its specific to W7.

Didn't know they existed.

Thanks for killing my next hour, going to go give those a try now.

Try to delete the three setting files inside this folder (under Vista):

C:\Users\Home\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\Settings

Start game, adjust all options again and see if it got fixed.

182.06 is sh*t, I lost 9 fps with it and I got micro stutters everywhere.

I asume you using MultiGPU as that´s the only way to get microstrutter, is it singleGPU it is not microstutter, it is to high settings for the card.

Man i love these drivers.Altough 181.22 is good for playing GTAIV i think it f***ed up Crysis for me.I got all sorts of weird anomalies with this driver, grrrr sneaky2.gif

I would love to see that the newer drivers don't f-up older games.
