kennyglenn Posted February 18, 2009 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Okay so I have spent like two days googling for the answer to my problem and I just can't find an answer. I have both GTA III and Vice City and any time I start up either of them a little error box pops up stating "Cannot find 640x480 video mode." Well apparently my graphics card (Nvidia Quadro FX 570M) only goes as low as 800x600. I was thinking the best solution would be to start it up in a different resolution, for instance "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA III\gta3.exe" -height 600 -width 800 and I have tried -r:800x600 but neither of these work. I have also read here: http://forums.nvidia.com/lofiversion/index.php?t86186.html that this guy had the same problem and found a solution with his "memory editor" problem. But anyway here is gta3.set with 1024x768x16 resolution set: http://bestchoose.ru/gta/gta3.set Put it into "My Documents/GTA3 User Files". I hope this would help. You can switch to traditional mouse-aiming controls in options back.
