Politician/Politics mission

So yeah, the mission called Politician or Politics. You know the one where you see Grave's(I think) meat and vedge in the cut scene. Is there a right way of doing it? since I'm so stumped.

 

I perch myself in an excellent position, aim, then fire... but the helicopter or car is totally invincible to my rockets and I then get f*cked from ear to ear from the spastic kamikaze AI (didn't fix that did you R*?).

 

Or I try and get close to either the cavalcade or landing zone and again get f*cked from ear to ear from the spastic kamikaze AI (again, didn't fix that did you R*?).

 

So yeah, what am I doing? Oh and the checkpoints are nice but still as totally useless as quick restart if you get arrested.

Odd that the helicopter seems to be invincible to your bulletts. I just parked up near the gate, where you can see the helipad from, then got off, fired a rocket just as the heli was touching down. BOOM. Flee. Done.

Totally weird that it isn't working for me. Hit the heli bang on with an RPG and nothing happens. If it's landed and I hit it bang on then it kinda pushes it off the helipad but otherwise nothing happens. The target gets out and then all hell breaks loose (normally ending up with me taking a trip to the hospital).

You could just wait outside the gate near the helipad. You'll get a 2 star wanted level just before the cars come out but hold tight and rocket the middle car then flee.

Wait for the Helicopter outside the gate. Drive in, shoot the convoy, fly away with a nice red Maverick.

Yeah i just waited outside the gets just where the road turns and when the cars drove out i sent a rocket into the pack and blew everything up, hopped on my nicely parked Hexer and drove under the bridges on the grassy area to escape the cops.

 

Still took me two goes to do it though.

What I did was drive my Hexer up the freeway overpass opposite the exit of the airport (where the cavalcade leave). I stole a taxi waiting behind and positioned it next to the barrier and climbed on top so Johnny could see over. I waited for helicopter to land and for the cars to drive through the exit and nuked them with the rocket laucher. I jumped on my Hexer, raced up the freeway and was gone.

I just waited at the corner of the building by the exit from the helipad then as the cars drove by I shot a rocket and blew it up then got on my bike and rode off into the sunset. It wasn't hard.

I just rushed in with a car without waiting for the chopper to land and ran over some cops and shot the chopper with the rocket, they trapped me in the airport so I got back in the car and sped off to the south gate where tom stubb's inside guy opens the gate for you and I drove off, done in first try and only lost most of my armor, no health, honestly thought I was gonna die the way I rushed in like that but I made it O.o

Like the others above I waited at the corner of the building outside the gate, watched the helicopter land and the convoy pull out, rpged the convoy as they left the gate, took 2 or 3 tries.

 

first try I walked right through the gate with the carbine and the cops at the gate killed me, man was I dumb. I just couldn't understand why there was so much detail in the helicopter and convoy while it was so difficult to get up close to that action.

 

the code in that other thread explains that I guess, there were other elements involved in that mission like gaining access to airport and security uniforms to get close the helipad.
