i like coffee enemas
I'm just about to download the update but I've just been reading that the amount of blood has been reduced in the German version, but what about the UK version? What else has changed?
Enjoii
There's a little added link in the Game tab of the Pause menu called Marketplace. But search could have told you that as well.

Yes there is! There's also a map under "Map"!

What else has changed? There is no "German" version. There's only International, and Australian. OK it's not EXACTLY like that but in terms of content restriction it's like that. ALL European versions are now censored thanks to a massive failure by either R* or MS and all Aussie versions are uncensored (which means that GTA IV becomes illegal there now and this needs to be fixed ASAP) but US versions are unaffected. Fido1981
Germanys games are normally cut down. I dont see why us in the uk with an 18 rating have to suffer this new version which could pass as a
Mr. Niko Bellic
Germanys games are normally cut down. I dont see why us in the uk with an 18 rating have to suffer this new version which could pass as a 15 lol its not germanys fault ^^.. It looks like Europe got the australian cut patch.. and now Australia plays the uncut version (unfair^^).. i hope they fix it in the next few days Oo GTA 4 is here in germany also uncut.. we have an 18 rating as well^^.. but nobody over here nows why we got GTA uncut Edited February 18, 2009 by Mr. Niko Bellic
Gouveia
Also, the new L&D music is incorporated into vanilla GTA IV radio stations. That means I can listen to Highway Star even though I haven't bought TLAD?

That means I can listen to Highway Star even though I haven't bought TLAD? No, I believe that you need to have downloaded the content for it to play. It just doesn't lock the songs to TLaD, but you still need to have the song files.
KarbzKartel
Also, the new L&D music is incorporated into vanilla GTA IV radio stations. Are you sure? Well i don't have the radio stations playing anyway, because i find it hard to hear people over the headphones when music is playing. Any way, these are some things i noticed in the update myself. - When turning in a car the camera follows behind you. - If your close to a grenade when it goes off, the sound will dim and ring around you. - As stated by everyone, changes in the multiplayer options etc. - And the music imported into the vanilla (orginal) GTA IV radio stations. - A few other cool effects like the grenade one for instance. If they were already there before the update or whatever, feel free to correct me. EDIT: About the radio stations, im not sure if enjoii was correct or not about having to download TLAD DLC to hear them on vanilla GTA IV.

Mr_Prickles
- If your close to a grenade when it goes off, the sound will dim and ring around you. Nuh uh, that's in the vanilla GTAIV as well.
iceman654
The uncut version of GTA IV is not illegal in Australia. The PC version was submitted for a rating in it's UNCENSORED form and passed with an MA15+ classification. This patch could just very well be fixing all of the pointless censoring the console versions of the game had to put up with in AU. Lost and Damned was also submitted for a rating in it's uncut form and passed.

Why cut it in the first place in order to pass the ratings, just to remove it later and CENSOR US who should have no part in this because we don't vote for silly politicians. It's obviously a confusion.
