Outer_Heaven
Does anyone know where I can find the full version of the song that plays during the initial loading of GTA4? I know it's called "Soviet Connection" and I already have that song. The one I'm talking about is a more simple version of it. For those of you that have MGS4: It's a similar situation to the menu theme in MGS4. The main version is called "Old Snake" but there is a clear difference in the song that plays during the menu scene, which is different yet spun off from the same song. To the mods: Seeing as though I own the soundtrack and game, it wouldn't be 'wrong' of me to want to download this version, now would it? Game rips anyone? Lioshenka
It would be wrong, yes, but AFAIK you can rip it from the game. Not sure how, because the tool hasn't been released yet.
Outer_Heaven
It would be wrong... I see. Well, no, not really. I don't see, but ok.
Lioshenka
It would be wrong... I see. Well, no, not really. I don't see, but ok. You own the game, but don't own the soundtrack, if you know what I mean. Just because the song appears in the game you can't legally download it unless it is released freely by an artist. But again, ripping it from the game is legal, or at least that what I though after reading through GTA SA user manual. I don't think things have changed much! I know it's possible to do so with the Blu Ray disc (Since someone did so with MGS4).
NTAuthority
OpenIV is known to be able to read the sound files from the PC version's .rpf files -- did it once, but since uninstalled IV -- but I expect the PS3 .rpf format to be slightly different -- you'll know if you try copying .rpf files from Linux on the PS3, or you can wait on somebody who rips it from the PC version. Inactive in GTA/R* title modification indefinitely pursuant to a court order obtained by TTWO. Good job acting against modding!

Leo Colt
It's called "GTA IV Loading Theme." I have it somewhere on here. I also have the outtake version too, which is a noticeably different version of the theme.
