acma
So I went and bought a download card at Gamestop today and have been trying to play this crap for six hours. At first it wouldn't finish downloading, and now it will finish but it stays at the loading screen with all the characters. I've redownloaded it numerous times, yet it still fails to work. Has anyone else had this problem or can anyone help me? edit: also, I tried booting up the original GTA IV and tried a new L&D game, yet I still have the same problem, although with different character art. elpapigrande
I don't know how to help you, but I have a similar question.. How the f*ck long is this supposed to take to download? I started my download at 3:00, and it is at 36% right now. It's 5:00 where I am. At this rate, it will have taken me almost six hours to download something that is less than 2 gigs. WTF? How long did it take for you to download this? Am I the only one sitting here in agony because I don't get to play it because my 360 is taking this long? Your internet connection is. If you have a crap connection, you'll get crap speeds. Simple as. So either quit whining and blaming it on the 360 or buy a better connection if it's taking so long. Sorry if I sound too blunt but so many people blame bad download speeds on their Xbox or on M$ rather than accepting it's their connection. Topic starter: I don't really know what to say about that, I would've suggested re-downloading but since you've tried that, sorry I can't suggest anything. Anabolic
How long did it take for you to download this? Am I the only one sitting here in agony because I don't get to play it because my 360 is taking this long? It depends on your connection speed and the server load. I'm almost sure I was one of the first 100 who got their downloads active (around 10:01 CMT+2 or something like that) and it took me about 25 minutes. Many people here claimed that the whole DLC was not even on-line yet, even though there were some users (including me) who were already playing it. edit: I have a 110-meg connection
elpapigrande
Thanks enjoi and anabolic- Maybe the problem is that I have my router all the way across the house from my 360? Lol- yeah, probably. I didn't mean to whine, I'm just pretty pissed right now (sitting here with my thumb up my ass at 39%) and I want to play my game! Oh well, I can enjoy it for a couple hours tonight anyway. 40%...
acma
Ok so I tried clearing the cache and installing GTA to the hard drive which changed nothing... I think I'll go back to Gamestop tomorrow and ask for a different one.
