The only way I will switch is if I decide to finally 100% GTA 4 or DLC #2 is even better. What do you guys think is TLAD better than GTA 4. IMO Hands down better storyline- I felt I connected and knew more about the character I was playing as- Johnny we didn't really know his history that much. Yeah but the story is over as soon as you play it TLAD has better gameplay. I know I saw that interview- I date requested every girl on Love-meet in TLAD and no response from any of them- I date requested them before I began the main storyline and by the end no emails back. Every girl on love-meet I requested from the beginning ( all of them ) shows a pink bar where the date thing usually is- and that means you requested them already. They have not emailed back after at least 12-15 game days- and in vanilla IV the girls usually took two game days TOPS to email back. I answered his email, tried to call him myself (got his "Don't know why I'm doing this, nobody ever calls me" voicemail).. nothing. Beat the entire game without him ever contacting me. Or it could also be that you meet the girls Johnny can date somewhere else on the internet? He answered every question the same way but just worded it differently and when the host (cant remember his name, Ben Bailey or some shat?) at the end of the interview mentioned about the 2nd DLC and the achievement Trinity and Geronimo was like SHOCKED that the community linked that all together. Any way I can confirm that the "rep" "vp" "Geronimo" did say you can date girls online but then again his name is Geronimo??? TLaD only got 1 safehouse, while GTA IV have 3-4 , even if i can park on all Niko's parking spots in TLaD its not the same , and the only safehouse there is is a dump , and the map is kinda low on Markers and theres alot you can't do , but of course , the new weapons and vehicles are cool Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

PhilipO43 Posted February 18, 2009 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Both, actually because both storylines are happening really during the same timeframe, and each storyline has it's advantages. Of course, i'll be playing more IV(i hit 100% twice, but my older 360 red lighted and i did'nt back up the save files) because it's the longer storyline/game, but each version is so different..yet both are connected to each other, i'll be switching back and fourth. I love GTA:IV, so the more the better, i just wish in DLC#2 Rockstar finally opens up some more areas such as the arcade/fun fair..ect, and they finally add in decent activities that are enjoyable after a couple times. Iv'e played through Fallout 3 twice, Fable 2 twice, Saints Row2(uhh, love the features but hate nearly everything else. GTA:SA still blows this one away and it's last gen.), R:FOM2, Gears 2..ect and i'm sure Killzone2 and Halo Wars will be ok for a week or so appiece, but to be honest with the exception of SC:Conviction and GTA clones like This is Vegas/Godfather 2(which looks like garbage, tbh) and Mafia 2(Mafia 1 was probably the best GTA clone, ever done), most of my 09' will be about GTA:IV and the 2 DLC's. I love this series like no other, and sure IV has it's faults, but no other game comes close. I really believe if Rockstar released an 'epic' GTA..say GTA:IV: Niko returns..or GTA:V(probably next generation), i may not touch another game on the market. Just experiencing it from a different perspective and hanging out with the biker gang. Playing air hockey, looking at the new internet. Too bad I can't watch the new TV, but whatever.
