As soon as you get some cover, there is not much a heli can do without the DLC-upgrade. With damage like I saw in the vid, the DLC ones shouldn't be allowed in competitive modes though... DAYUM!! if we are > than ground forces in the old content, why does my small team of pilots have access to any team on the gamebattles gta4 ladders.... why do people leave games when they see us on the opposing team.... we play with the best ground shooters on 360 side and in the old gta they used to complain about good pilots being overpowered, now even the weak pilots are overpowered Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tonksi Posted February 19, 2009 Author Share Posted February 19, 2009 (edited) I read that twice Tonk and I can't get my head around what you mean... in competetions good pilots are VERY wanted.... often more so than a ground guy, because its a more distinct skill and tougher to combat back when pilots only just started and id only been flying about a month i joined the number1 team on gamebattles at the time along with 3 other pilots.... when forming the best team deathmatch line up, they decided that in a 4 vs 4 they wanted at least 2 pilots in the game, if a third one was available they would use a third pilot, leaving 1 guy on the ground and letting the pilots do all the work that was before gamebattles changed the rules so you could have " helicopter disallow" games so those who say it was weak or underpowered before are far wrong, all the pilots were expecting the chopper to get nerfed in the expansion and @ superjude, im surprised that the pilots arent already the griefers on ps3, i dont know any ground griefers on the 360, convert and kill the guys who hide in the subway in my games Edited February 19, 2009 by Tonksi Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's usually the FragFX-Killer-Squads that you just can't win against and that are dwelling in the top-3... but that's PS3... X-Box don't have something familiar to the FragFX-Controller, do they? But even without, I just can't picture the choppers as a "force to be reckon with". And I've been in quite a few gamebattles... mostly you don't even meet pilots, especially not in the top-teams. Double_Deagle Posted February 19, 2009 Share Posted February 19, 2009 WHEN I got killed by helicopters so far it was by the rotor blades or the whole thing crashing down on me...when I hear the minigun sound I get behind something, wait for him to pass me and almost never get harmed...it sure is hard to kill the pilot though...but like said before: I'd like to see how stev deals with it...this guy is lethal...gets into 20 min DMs 5 minutes after start and still wins the thing with twice the score of the guy in 2nd place... We only had a few Elite players on the ground last time (I do NOT consider myself Elite...got a long way to go), but with a team that is a majority of Elite ground forces, maybe we have a chance... What Tonksi is trying to say, i think, is that the new annhialator (can't spell) undermines his own 'Eliteness" cuz with it, anyone can wreak distruction on a massive scale. Anyway, if ppl here are interested in going up against the PS3 Elite Pilots again, post a 'bump' in the Air/Ground thread and I will see if Osmeal, CHARGER and company feel like giving us another chance.
