lostMC Posted February 17, 2009 Share Posted February 17, 2009 20 days ago while waiting for the lost and damned i started doing 5 missons a day in gta4. So that by the time TLAD came out i would have completed the main story for the 6th time. As you take time with the story you understand alot more, and it and it makes more sence. I dont think niko would be able to do the stuff he did in 4 or 6 days. But the point is i started to understand the dimond deal a little more. the first time you see the dimonds they are being put into a cake. that cake finds its way to luis and gay tony i guess. johnny takes them an d throws them away for ray. niko gets them with luca then luca trys to take them. niko gives the dimonds back to ray he makes plains to sell them to isicc. johnny goes with niko to get payed for the work he did. luis breaks up the party and takes the dimonds as johnny gets the money. the McCreary bros well pakie and gerry have you kidnapp gay tonys doughter to get the dimonds. As niko has his hands on then Ray B says that they were his. one of his guys gets ahold of then and throws the dimonds on a truck. A homeless man finds then and opens up a gun and liquor store in vice. Ok here is the Q were they ray bulg's dimonds and someone on the boat niko came in on stole them and put them in a cake for gay tony? So thats why he came to liberty city? MC. Posted February 17, 2009 Share Posted February 17, 2009 (edited) It was originally Bulgarin's diamonds because it was a European/Russian that was putting the diamond into the cake. Dimitri is involved with Bulgarin because he just met him and found out about Niko from Bulgarin as he claims that Niko was in debt or owes Bulgarin money or something. Now because of this, I must say that Luis is the next protagonist of DLC. I have the same reason as you because I also think that Luis will somehow steal the diamonds from a Russian guy delivering it to Bulgarin. He could have possibly been ambushed by Luis to obtain the diamond. So maybe Luis tries to steal the diamonds twice. Once in Museum Piece and possibly ambushing the Russian(s). EDIT: I have a feeling that there will be a mission in DLC 2 where Luis kills all the guys on the boat that Niko arrived in and will try and take the diamonds. There was a news report on the Liberty Tree website where the captain of the Platypus ship was found dead floating on the water and the crew was missing. chngdman Posted February 17, 2009 Share Posted February 17, 2009 (edited) I don't think the diamonds on the cutscene in the beginning of the game have anything to do with the boat referenced when bulgarin appears in GTA IV. Nor is the platypus the boat in question. That happened long long before any of the events from scene one and on. Years. The boat that they were talking about, we dont know if it was money or what on board, but it sunk. Niko then went through hassles in the old country and, later, left. Maybe it was those diamonds, but how, what are the chances they'd be on the same boat he came over on, the same boat he used to flee? It might be BS though because there was one report where it said Cherise's new boyfriend died from an angry gamer when it was actually Niko who killed/fought him. The news headline was Video Gaming Kills or something like that. It was a joke on a real event. I always assumed Dimitri killed them so he could take over the ship. Yeah I also thought the same. But I think that it could be possible that Luis killed him. It could also be possible that Dimitri could have taken over the ship a few days or hours after Luis ambushed the ship.
