I have bought TV adaptor for my psp so I can play VCS on my tv, but I was thinking should I buy the ps2 version? I have just completed the game and got to 99%, I don't want to start over, but is the ps2 version that much better?

I've read on amazon that ps2 version has worse graphics or something and the psp is better. I don't really care about the extra features. I just want to see the great chunder wheel and ocean beach shoreline and ride on jetskis on my tv.

The PS2 version has few added side missions and I think one or a few of the Rampages have different location or task. I hear that the glitches had been resolved from the PSP version.

If you already have the PSP version then there's really no point in getting it again.

Why buy VCS for PS2 when you have Vice City? Unless you don't have VC, in which case still don't bother buying VCS again.

As you've said, you have the psp to tv adaptor so you can play it on the tv, so if anything it will be better than the ps2 version becuase the graphics are better on the psp version, becuase it wasn't transferred over.

Plus you can take your game with you and play it anywhere on the go, which is definately a good thing.

Another plus would be the ability to play custom music in the vehicle radio and the multiplayer mode, atleast if you can find someone who plays with you !

The new side missions and rampages on the PS2 aren`t really that much of an improvement, I don`t think they can beat the portability of the PSP version tough.

(Another intersting thing might be the PSP only Cheatdevice, which allows you to do unbelieveable things in this game. But only if you know how to use custom firmware...)

Go buy the PSP version, this game was made specially for the PSP. So the graphics are really outstanding on that little device ! And from what I`ve seen of the PS2 version, there`s not that much of an upgrade in terms of graphics.

Why are you giving yourself suggestions? If you know what's better, why not go ahead and do what you plan to.

I really don't see why anyone would choose the PS2 over the PSP version. For the PSP you can play multiplayer, use the CheatDevice, have the ease of portability and game saves are much, much easier to import.

The only plus for the PS2 version would be fixed up glitches and one or two side missions.

The PS2 version feels cleaner for some reason, but PSP has way more. Though there are some side-missions on PS2 I really like to play.

I agree with F,N,B. The PSP version does feel a bit messy, what with the glitches and really sharp graphics (you can see single pixels, that's how sharp it is).

But aside from that, PSP version would be the better choice, PS2 version is hardly glitch free either.

The PS2 version is quite glitch free, the only glitches I have encountered are minor one's. Aside from cars eaten by garage anyways...

Examples:

1) A destroyed car was still "alive". It was a police car I had destroyed, I saved and went out I suddenly could enter the destroyed and wrecked car it was hard to move it, but it worked as a normal car just didn't handle the same, I fired at it with a shotgun and it caught fire and officially exploded.

2) I once killed someone who was driving an Infernus, the door to the driver seat was opened, Vic didn't want to enter the car from there and the door was just open. I tried entering from the passenger seat, Vic entered and remained a passenger but I could not do anything, not even drive-by, that was all I could do with the car.

That's it.

PS2 version is better.

- No garage glitches.

- Exclusive content.

- Better controls.

- Smoother graphics (and nice atmosphere because of this).

Agreed !

The ability to share savegames with others (or hack them) is another pro of the psp version !

PSP version is better, because of one thing:

-THE VCS CHEAT DEVICE!!!

The PS2 version has 2 cheat devices-and they both work for ALL GTA games, they are called AR Max and GameShark. and the best part about the PS2 cheat devices, is there's nothing to install before you can use them-just pop the disk in, select your game and cheats, and fire up the game as usual. So both versions have Cheat Devices.

But to me the PS2 version feels more comfortable to play, as you have a lot bigger screen to play it on-being your TV. Plus the glitches that the PSP version had were fixed on the PS2 port.

You win the Mr. Dickhead Of The Year award.

If anything, the graphics would be worse, getting upsized like that.

This Cheatdevice for the PSP version is a completely different thing than those Action Replay like devices.

1)Resolution+textures. I agree.

2)No way. It looks same as PSP.

3)Same as PSP.

4)Wrong. More submissions, but no missions.

5)You mean you can buy more vehicles? Maybe.

Plus the glitches that the PSP version had were fixed on the PS2 port.

Right, but introduced a the new glitch we know as the 'Warp pipe glitch.'

Framerate is much better on the PS2 but isn't a blessing from God due to the jerky graphics we see commonly on consoles.

Flesh-n-Bone

By "warp pipe glitch" you mean the one that transports you to Leaf Links? If so, then that's a pretty nice glitch and an easy way to get to the 'locked' area of the game.
