Aww, I hope it isn't another 1 mission wonder like the garbage truck, I got into one but just fumbled with the buttons to see if the hook or whatever you want to call it moved around and it didn't, still haven't tried just backing one into anything yet though as I was fleeing the cops and trashed it. It's not a major setback to the game, but it just gives you something else to do if you fancy it... Remember San Andreas' tow truck towing tow truck etc etc.... 20 long chain of towing.
